Ciiver L. Passe-bois announce the engagement of their dauRhter, Reta Mae, to John Wilfred Burke, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Burke. The marriage will take place June 7th in St.

George's vestry. Faith, and the late C. W. Faith. Banquet For Blind Held Saturday Covers were laid for 59 persons Saturday evening at a banquet given for blind citizens of Ottawa by members of the Ottawa Social and Bowling clubs of the Can-, adian National Institute for the Blind.

Rev. W. E. Hamilton, field secretary, made known plans for expansion of blind work in the district. Presentation of prizes was made by the bowling director, Mr.

Jean St. Jean to the winning team. Dancing followed. took place Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's grandmother, Mrs. D.

M. Chambers. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Frank P. Fidler and Mr.

George Hebert. the bride chose for her wedtimg a gown cf white satin styled with a fitted bodice and full skirt. Her fingertip veil was gathered to a tiara of orange blossoms and she carried an arm bouquet of calla llllies. Following the reception hfld at the home of the groom's parents, the couple left for their wedding trip to Montreal and Cornwall. The bride travelled in a brown wool suit with a brown straw hat.

Brown accessories and a corsage bouquet of red and pink roses completed her ensemble. The couple will reside in Hul, Que. Mr. J. Edgar Hall, the bride was attended by Miss Alison Armstrong as maid-of -honor and bv Home Economists Name Officers Miss Evelyn MacMurchy was elected president of the Ottawa Home Economic Association at the association's annual meeting at the Chelsea Club recently.

She succeeds Miss Gertrude Gerlach who presided at the meeting. Others named to the executive were president-elect. Miss Mary Angus; treasurer, Mrs. John Mc-Cay; corresponding secretary. Miss Gwen Mchol and recording secretary, Miss Elma Taylor.

Annual reports were read, revealing an active year just concluded. A number of outstanding speakers addressed the club during the year, it was recalled, including Dr. W. C. Hopper.

During the year it was decided that annual awards of $20 would be given to one student in each of Lisgar and Glebe Collegiate who have taken home economics and continue in home economics at some university. In the High School of Commerce the award goes to the best student in the four-year course in home economics. Following the meeting, refreshments were served, Mrs. Rutter pouring5 tea. Miss Joan Melvin as bridesmaid.

Following the reception, the couple left by motor for their honeymoon to the Laurentians. Going away the bride wore a honey beige suit with a matching hat and set of kolinsky furs and wine alligator accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Faith will reside at 264 Flora street.

Montreal guests who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Bunyp.n. Miss Geraldine Schroeder of Toronto was junior, bridesmaid and Wing Cmdr. W.

H. Schroeder of Toronto was best man. For her wedding the bride chose a gown of ivory duchess satin bi.jn:d on princess lines with an overskirt of similar satin forming a train. Going away, the bride wore a Kelly green gabardine suit with brown accessories and Talisman roses formed her shoulder knot.

The executive officers of the Ottawa Music Club entertained at tea at the home of Mrs. Mead Clark in honor of Mrs. E. M. Harvey, who is sailing shortly for England to spend the summer.

The guest-of-honor was presented with an attache writing case. Mrs. Douglas Burden presided over the tea. Mr. and Mrs.

Herbert Howe of Toronto were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Hayward.

Miss Jean Fraser Weds Orton Craig The marriage of Jean Anna Fraser, daughter of Mrs. W. A. Fraser the late Mr. Fraser, to Orton Wilmer Craig, eldest son of Mr.

and Rrs. W. W. Craig of Guelph, took place Saturday afternoon at Glebe United church. The ceremony was performed by Rev.

Frank P. Fidler and wedding music was played by Cmdr. A. E. Fortington.

Miss Miriam Donaldson was soloist. The bride, given in marriage by her brother, Mr. Leslie. T. Fraser, was attended by Mrs.

Douglas Fraser as matron-of -honor and Miss Isabel Young of Montreal, as bridesmaid. Mr. William McMillan of Guelph was best man and ushers were Mr. Douglas Fraser and Mr. John H.

Fraser, brothers of the bride. For her wedding Miss Fraser chose a gown of ice blue satin, the fitted bodice featured dolman sleeves and a high neckline with a peter pan collar. Her shoulder length veil was gathered to a head dress of matching satin ornamented with pale pink butterfly roses. Similar roses formed her cascade bouquet. The reception was hejd at the home of the bride's parents, and later the couple left for their wedding trip to Montreal.

II. C. Mayhew of Adamston. at a ceremony Monday morning at St. Paul's Anglican church, Renfrew.

Rev. J. W. Cornish officiated and wedding music was played by Miss Blanche Bossens. Given in marriage by Mr.

Clifford J. Sharp, the bride was attended by Miss Erna Mary Cooper as bridesmaid and Mr. Garnet Mayhew was best man. Mr. James Mayhew and Mr.

George Barclay were A white satin gown, designed with a net yoke featuring the fitted bodice, edged with Guipre lace, and a' graceful skirt, was chosen by the bride for her wedding. Following the ceremony, the wedding breakfast was held at Hotel Renfrew, and for going away the bride wore a black and white shepherds plaid suit with matching accessories. Mr. and Mrs. Mayhew will re side in Renfrew.
