KEMPTVILLE, Dec. 29. A meeting of the Kemptville Farmers, Limited, was held in the town hall yesterday at which the stock certificates were surrendered and the shareholders paid in full as the company is 'being dissolved due to the selling of the property to Mrs. Swedlove. The company was formed in 1820 and purchased the stone building on Clothier street, which it rented to the Co-operative Farmers, Limited, in which a large business was conducted for a few years.

In 1925 the building was rented to Mrs. Swedlove. The company is surrendering its charter following the return of the certificates. The directors of the company are: Mr. A.

Appreciable Decrease In Ontario Unemployed (CuntdUn Press.) TORONTO, Dec. 29 An appreciable decrease in unemployment is noted at the Ontario government employment service. "Some 23,200 men have failed to renew their applications for Jobs since January, presumably because they arc back at work," stated John F. Marsha, superintendent. He said a number of positions were unfilled.

"Cheyenne Kid" and "When Strangers Marry" JACK HOLT may be seen on the Columbia theater screen on "Monday in "When Strangers Marry," with Lillian Bond in the supporting role. Holt is cast as a mining engineer from Southern Rhodesia who comes to Paris for a holiday.

During a wild night of gayety he meets Lillian Bond and when he wakes in the morning he finds that he is married. The couple sail for the mining section and there Holt refuses to take his young wife Into the wilderness because he really loves her. And there the complications start. The wife, longing for love and her husband, becomes involved with the society section of the coastal town and realizes that It will be a struggle to still love her husband when he is not there to take care of her. "Cheyenne Kid," also playing, is a Western thriller one that will delight both kiddies and grownups as the action Is fast and a real Western atmosphere pervades the entire production.

Thursday brings "Golden Harvest" with Richard Arlen, Chester Morris and Genevieve Tobin the stars. "Ladies Must Love," also showing, tells of four young chorus girls In New York and their activities. Introductions are quickly performed but a hitch Is thrown in the works by Thelma's violent dislike for Stanley. The comedy angle is delightful as Stanley tries to tame his wife, putting her In the most uncomfortable inns and automobiles he can find. He eventually succeeds but only after a battle that Is worthy of the title "the taming of a shrew." Marian Davies stars In the second feature, "Peg O' My Heart," and this film version of the popular story becomes even greater a movie with Miss Davies in the leading role.
