DEATHS Fields services Robert H. Fields, 58, 1414 S. Main died at a.m. Thursday in the Americana Nursing Home. He had been ill for two years.

Born in Kokomo on March 10, 1916, ho was the son of Charles and Helena (Smith) Fields. In 1935 he married Helen Chapman who survives. He was a tool and die maker and had been employed at the Kokomo Tool and Die United Tool and Die Co. and Syndicated Sales Corp, He served In the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of the Eagles and VFW Post 1152.

Surviving with the widow are two sons, Robert S. Fields of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles F. Fields of Kokomo; one daughter, Mrs. Marguerite DeLano of Kokomo; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Betty) a a and Mrs.

Harvey (Sue) Phillips of Kokomo; Mrs. Sadie Barlow of Greentown, and Mrs. Brauner Cook of i i two brothers, Emery Fields of Kokomo and John Fields of St. Petersburg, ten a i and two great- grandchildren, Two grandchildren, three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.

Saturday in Ellers Mortuary with burial to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call at Ellers from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. Strunk services Funeral services for Dennie L. Strunk, 29, Sharpsville R.R.

will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Ellers Mortuary, with the Rev. Hanip Woolen officiating. Burial will be in Sharpsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Friday (today). He died in an explosion in his home at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday. Born May 3, 1944, in Williamsburg, he was the son of the Rev. Leslie and Hettie (Woods) Strunk.

He was married July 28, 19G5, to Judith Long, who survives. He was employed by Delco Electronics Division and was a member of United Auto Workers, Local 292, and the AMA Motorcycle Association. Surviving with the wife are the parents of Hemlock; two sons, Gary and Terry Strunk, both at home; six brothers, Lowell Strunk of Kokomo, Carl Strunk of Hemlock, James Strunk of Sharpsville, Billy Strunk of Kokomo, Leslie Strunk of Sharpsville and the Rev. Bobby Strunk of Windfall; a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Faye) Broerman of Sharpsville, and the maternal grandmother, Mrs.

Amy Woods of Williamsburg, Ky. CORRECTION Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (JoAnn) Thomas, 40, Russiaville R.R. 1, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in St.

Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday in Ellers Mortuary. Because of a reporting error, the place for calling was omitted from Thursday's paper.

Funerals Getz services Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia S. Gctz, 86, 312 W. North will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Peacock Funeral Home, with the Rev.

She died at 7:45 a.m. Thursday.in Howard Community Hospital. Born Nov. 11, 1887, in Huntington, she was the daughter of Henry and Minnie (Wehrs) Dehne. She was married Nov.

11, 1905, to James L. Getz, who died Oct. 11, 1970. She had been employed by Kingston Division prior to her retirement in 1955. She was a member of Parr United Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charlene Moss of Kokomo, Mrs. Lucille Eikenberry of Rochester and Mrs. Phyllis Clark of Kokomo; four sons, Victor Getz of Kokomo, Donald Getz of Wabash, Robert Getz of Kokomo and William Getz of Kokomo; a brother, Paul Dehne of Warren; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, two sisters and two daughters preceded her in death.

Floyd W. Wilson Floyd Wayne Wilson, 62, 936 Sunnyside, Chicago, 111., died April 27 in Columbus Hospital, there. Born June 21, 1911, in Kokomo, he was the son of Henry and Sarah (Kennedy) Wilson. He was employed by American Standard Inc. and Kokomo-Center Township Consolidated School Corpor a i in the maintenance department.

He attended Hillsdale United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II. Surviving are two sons, S. Richard Wilson and P. Wayne Wilson, both of Kokomo; a brother, Russell Wilson of Pendleton and a sister, Mrs.

Chester (Madaline) Gilmore of Kokomo; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A brother and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Ellers Mortuary, with the Rev. Craig Meyers officiating.

Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday. E. G.

P. J. Graves The Rev. P.J. Graves, 69, Los Angeles, formerly of Kokomo, died in his home Wednesday.

Take stock in America Buy U.S. Savings Bonds INDIANAPOLIS (AP) In a bundle of orders, which do not include any action on proposed charges for telephone directory assistance, the Public Service Commission has authorized three railroads to close agency stations and another to close two public grade crossings. Baltimore Ohio and Louisville Nashville railroads were authorized to continue their joint station at Roachdale in Putnam County. BO's business at Roachdalc and at non-agencies of Tilden, Maplewood, North Salem, Barnard and Raccoon will be placed under the Russellville Station. LN's Roachdalc business will be transferred to its Crawfordsville station.

Southern Railway Co. was authorized to close its agency station at Oakl a i a a i a non-agencies at Winslow and Oakland City Junction under the Huntingburg station. Erie Lackawanna Railway Co. was authorized to close public grade crossings on Third and 12th streets in Decatur. It withdrew requests to close four other Decatur crossings.

The commission closed out an investigation of alleged hazardous and unsanitary conditions on the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad's main line between Jasonvillc and Bedford and its Latta Yard. The PSC the railroad had corrected the conditions and agreed to apply weed killer this summer. LN was authorized to establish a new grade crossing on Indiana 69, about two miles north of Mount Vernon, to serve a General Electric thermoplastic plant. The PSC denied a petition of Wakarusa citizens for automatic warning signals on the Norfolk Western Railway Company's Indiana 3 and Indiana 7 crossings in Elkhart County.

The commission said the volume of a i was too low to i the cost to the railway. The Wakarusa petitioners said there was a double-fatality accident on the Indiana 7 crossing in 1970 and a single death on the Indiana 3 crossing in 1971. The City of Muncie was authorized to intervene against rate increases being asked by the Muncie Water Works Co. The utility was ordered to prefile testimony and exhibits by May 29. The public and intervcnors are to file by July 22.

The PSC will hear the Muncie Water Works case June 25 and the opposing evidence and testimony Aug. 1. General Telephone Co. was authorized to reclasslfy exchanges at Mooreland, Spiceland and Valparaiso which had outgrown their rate groups. Valparaiso had been in a class up to 26,000 main stations and the other two in classes up to 12,000 main stations.

The Miami-Cass County REMC was authorized to borrow $628,000 from federal agencies for construction and maintenance. Thomas Kcane, 68, often called the second most-powerful man in the city's government, was indicted Thursday by a a a on charges of mail fraud and conspiracy in connection with a series of highly profitable land sales.
