Huron Grid Coach Passes Up Jaunt HURON, Sept. Frank Sowecke, local football mentor, might have started on a Far East tour for the U. S. armed forces today, but he chose instead to stay and see the Tigers through its grid season. Sowecke, a Big Ten referee, had been picked to represent basketball officials for the Armed Forces Recreational Committee to conduct cage clinics in camps in Tokyo.

BY PRESCRIBING ROUTES TO BE USED BY HEAVY TRUCKS WHEN TRAVELLING ON THE PUBLIC STREETS OF THE CITY OF SANDUSKY, OHIO, AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO 3112-C PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANDUSKY, OHIO. ON WAY 22 1933, ORDINANCE NO.

3335-C PASSED BY THli CITY COMMIS SION OF THE CITY OF SANDUS KY, OHIO, ON JUNE 17. 1S35 AND ORDINANCE NO 4026-C PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANDUSKY, OHIO, ON APRIL 22, 1942, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Ohio, without stopping or intending to stop such vehicle within said City to receive or deliver goods, wares, and merchandise, or tor any other purpose permitted by ibis ordinance, shall operate or move such vehicle over or upon flnv of the public streets of said City except such as are designated and marked as state highways. That the plans," specifi cations, estimate and profiles tor the proposed improvement heretofore prepared by the City Engineer and presented to the City Commission on the 24th day of September, 1951, and now on file in the office of the Direc tor of Public Service, be and the same are hereby approved. That the whole cost of said improvement, less one-fiftieth thereof and the cost ot intersections, shall be assessed by the front foot upon the following described lots and lands, to-wit: All lots and lands bounding and abutting upon the pro posed improvement, which said lots and lands are hereby determined to be specially benefitted by said inv provement; arid the cost of said improvement shall include the expense of the preliminary and other surveys and of printing and publishing the notices, resolutions and ordinance required and the serving or said notices and the cost of construction together with the interest upon bonds issued in anticipation of the collection of de ferred assessments and all other necessary expenditures. Section 4. Thnt the assessments so to be levied for said sanitary sewer and water main shall be paid in ten annual installments with interest on deferred payments at a rate not ex ceeding six percent per annum, pro vided, that the owner of any property assessed may, at his option, pay such assessment in cash within sixty days from and after the passage of the assessing ordinance.

In which case said cash assessment shall not include any item of interest upon bonds to be issued in anticipation of the col lection of deferred installments. Section 5. That the bonds of the City of Sandusky, Ohio, shall be issued in anticipation of the levy and collection of assessments by install mcnts and in an amount equal thereto. Section 6. That the remainder of the cost of said improvements, assessed, including the cost of intersections together with the cost of any real estate or interest therein purchased and the cost and expense of any appropriation proceeding therctor ami the dumages awardcl any owner of abutting lands and interest thereon and the cost and expense cf any such award shall oe paid by the issuance of bonds in the manner provided by law.

He died of various injuries received when he fell about 30 feet while working on a barn at the Bernard GUme farm on Route 113 near Birmingham. Scaffold brackets were said to have loosened, causing the man to fall to the ground. His sons, Donald and Willis, were working on the project and took him to the hospital. Mr. Wasem was a building contractor for the past 25 years and prior to that taught school at Birmingham and Axtel.

He wsa born at Ragersville, and was a member of the. Henrietta Evangelical United Brethren Church and Ely Masonic Lodge, Vermilion. Surviving are six sons, Donald and Willis; Lowell. Cletus and Kenneth, all Birmingham and Lincoln, Pennsburg, one daughter. Mrs.
