Phone 2263PACE SEVEN Society Names Delegates Charles and Oeorgc Russell were named delegates to represent Orace Lutheran Missionary society at the Norristown conference, to be held In Norristown, next Thursday, beginning at 9:30 In the morning. Last program was in chrrge of Mrs. Jacobs, chairman of the program committee.

A cornet trio was presented by Willard Blckel, Howard Yerger and Harry Flllman. The nominating committee was named as follows: Mrs. Charles Shaner, Mrs. William 8ell, Mrs John Copenhafer. The auditing committee Includes: Miss Violet Copenhafer, Mrs.

William Kepner and Miss Flora Bitting. The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Willis Henrlcks, president of the society. GOSPEL CAR PARKED HERE The gospel car, "Evangel," in charge of the Rev. and Mrs.

E. O. jSJdrldge, evangelists, will be parked Fifth and York streets, today, tomorrow and Friday. Bibles, gift books and scriptural Christmas cards will be displayed Proceeds are used to purchase books for hospitals and Jails. The car will be open from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.

The success of such social affairs Is linked with the facilities of the place in which they are held. Consequently there is no more desirable place In this vicinity than Kirkwood park, situated along the West Chester pike a mile south of Pughtown.

There will be found all the facilities for a roast, plenty of picnic tables, pure spring water, hot coffee, and for those who do not pack their own luncheons plenty of food at the park restaurant. Pits are provided for the pitching of quoits. Kirkwood also is engaged in another business that attracts hundreds of persons. On Friday evenings auction sales are conducted which already have become an institution in the neighborhood. Foodstuffs and merchandise of endless variety is offered under the hammer while scores of persons take articles there to be auctioned.

If a natural scenic location is considered as essential to the success of a pleasure resort, then the Old Weldon House, massive old stone structure, is In the Perkiomen valley. It is situated along the Oravel pike, north of Schwenk- ville. One of the oldest and most substantial resorts In the Perkiomen valley, the Weldon House also Is one of tht most popular. It Is under the management of L. J.

Rabert. While the Summer season with ita influx of vacationists has passed. Weldon House still is a gay center. On Saturday nights the entertainment program is featured by the Haas sisters. The bar and dining room services are unexcelled.

Fidler expressed himself as well pleased with business since he took over the place but expected a great increase in trade this Fall. ARGENTINE DRINKS MORE GIN An increase in imports of whisky, gin and champagne and a decrease in wines during the first four months of 1936 as compared to a similar period the previous year is reported by the Bureau of Statistics of Buenos Aires.
