Saturday in The Light-ouse Restaurant, 4301 Philadelphia Ave. The event is open to the public.

Anna Rotz, president of the Fort Loudoun Historical Society, will discuss the state historic site and the village's upcoming Bicentennial celebration this summer. Rotz served on the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission for eight years. Fort Loudoun was built in 1756 to protect settlers from Indian attacks. A prehistoric Native American village was adjacent to the fort site. It became the site of the first armed Colonial uprising against the British military when James Smith and his rangers attacked the fort and forced the British to evacuate.
