1 la ai i slon of Punr oa 11 BONDS AD STOCKS. ClaalsiaT Ivesll aeena.l sf tsss Holiday Xs elajr. Pbiladblpbia, Fsb 21. The market today haa developed no new features. Tbe same stocks that have recently led the advance were again strong to day, and the others remain about eteady.

Tbe movement in Reading still eontinues, tbestook today selling as high aa 20. The demand did not come solely from New York, aa baa raoantly been the ease, but was more open in its character. The ex Vlllard stocks mads spun aoou. noon or one per eent. on rumors that ths North Paoiflo road had leased the Oregon Navigation, but as no orders earns in t( sustain tbe movement the.

quietly receded to the old figures. Oregon Transcontinental was oonspionoue for Its dullness and weak ness. Operators have abandoned this speculation apparently, and everyone expeets its apeedy dissolution. Pennsylvania was sold oj ma ouiis. in this stook, though, we un derstand it had no connection with ordere from London.

After selling at 60J it was of fered down to 60. Tbe movement in Bead ing haa started numeroaa theorlea, each and every one or whioh is, to say the ex tremely improbable. The most plausible theory we have heard is that the successful bull clique in Lackawanna will now indulge in a Reading. Nothing more, therefore, than speculative move. The market closed dull and lower, whioh is but natural on aooount of to morrow being a holiday.
