Busy Cupid Declares Open Season on Engagements Susan Schnell- a i a June 12 wedding are Miss Susan Irene Schnell Richard Dennis White, son the George S. Lynnette Marshall Miss Lynnette Marshall's engagement to Doug Benoit, son of the Allen Benoits of Rock Island, is announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Marshall, 511 N. Road, Arlington Heights. The couple are both attending Northern Illinois University and will be married next Sept.

S. in Education with a major in chemistry from the University of Missouri in 1962. He is a member of Sigma Epsilon Fraternity and is now teaching biology and coaching at Missouri Military Academy in Mexico, Mo.

Ann Zanocco A Feb. 20 wedding is planned by Miss Sue Ann Zanocco and Verne Russell Smith Jr. whose engagement was recently announced by Miss Zanocco's parents, the Charles J. Zanoccos of Rockford. Mr.

Smith is the son of" the Verne' Smiths of Prospect Heights. The bride-elect is a sophomore at Marquette University where she is majoring in English. Mr. Smith, a psychology and history major, is a senior at Marquette. Martha Peifer Mr.

and Mrs. Edwin E. Peifer, 302 S. Phelps, Arlington Heights, are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Martha Shain, to Carl Dennis Nelson of Agency, Iowa. Miss Peifer is a graduate of Arlington High School and is now a sophomore at Iowa Wesleyan College where she is affiliated with Alpha Xi Delta Sorority.

Mr. Nelson, a graduate of Iowa Wesleyan, teaches biology at Cardinal Community School in Agency. He is affiliated with Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. The wedding will take place in July in. First Methodist Church.

Judith Fahlbusch Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Fahlbusch of Arlington Heights are announcing the engagement ol their daughter, Judith Lynn, to Albert S.

Churchwomen Study Problems of Aged Leroy-H. Jones, director of Division of Care of the Aged, Lutheran Social Service of Illinois, will be speaker at the bimonthly meeting of the Lutheran' Church Women of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Arlington Heights, Tuesday, Feb. 2, at 8 p.m. His topic will be "The Total Picture of the Care of the Aged." Mr. Jones is a member of Wilmette Lutheran Church.

He received his MA in social work from Indiana University and has seen service as executive director of Sarah A. Reed Home, Erie, director of Lutheran i 1 n's Home, Fremont, instructor at Graduate School of Social Work, University of Nebraska; school social worker, Indianapolis, i Schools; caseworker, Juvenile Court, Marion County, Ind. A keynote address, "Why We Need a State Association of Homes for the Aging," was one of his many published conference papers. Hale Palatine, have been appointed members of Mademoiselle Magazine's 1965 Board. The Board is composed of winners of the magazine's annual College Board Competition, a contest designed to recognize young women with talent in art, writing, editing, photography, layout, fashion design, merchandising, retail promotion or advertising.

Board members, from the United States, Canada, and abroad, were selected on basis of entries they submitted showing ability in one of these fields. The girls will remain on the College Board until they a graduated. During that time, they will report regularly to the magazine on events at their colleges. ALL COLLEGE Board mem- bers are eligible to compete for the 20 guest editorships awarded by the magazine each May. To win one of the top 20 prizes, they submit a second entry which shows specific aptitude for magazine work.

The 20 Giiest Editors go to New York to spend the month of June as salaried employees of Mademoiselle. help to write, illustrate and edit Mademoiselle's August college issue, sharing offices with the regular members of the staff. They advise on campus trends, interview well-known personalities and represent the magazine on i i to publishing houses, stores and advertising agencies. In a i i they are photographed for', the August issue and receive consideration for future staff positions with Mademoiselle and other Conde Nast publications. The 1964 Guest Editors had a special bonus, a flying trip to England, where they visited Stratford and Oxford between stays in London.
