Community College and a teacher at Greencastle-Antrim High School, recently attended the Institute of Holocaust Studies at Northwestern University. She was one of 25 fellows accepted into the program sponsored by Holocaust Educational Foundation. She was the only high school teacher accepted. Nine world-renowned authors and scholars on the Holocaust were instructors for the two-week program.

Zev Weiss, institute founder, was 14 when he was deported to Auschwitz. He was the sole survivor in his family. Fegan, a resident of Chambersburg, is a board member of Pennsylvania Holocaust Council on Education and vice president of Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts. She presents programs on the Holocaust to various organizations. Two of her students at GAHS won second and third place in a statewide Holocaust essay contest this year.

When police arrived at the scene, the disturbance had already cleared. (Incident No. H03-1590202) I MONT ALTO HARASSMENT: Jafari S. Jefferson, 27, Chambersburg, was charged with harassment Saturday after an altercation at 650 Heintzelman Ave. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, Jefferson was in an argument with Shalee Murphy, 22, Chambersburg, when Jefferson allegedly grabbed her by her left arm and pushed her away.

Main Mont Alto, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. According to police, Carney has been arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Kelly Rock and committed to Franklin County Prison in lieu of $2,500 bail.

(Incident No. H03-1591479) GUILFORD TOWNSHIP VANDALISM: An 11-year-old and 12-year-old from Guilford Township were arrested for criminal mischief after an incident Thursday at 123 Wilkson Lane. According to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, the two children took a gas cap, hydraulic fuel cap and broke a fuel sender cable that belonged to Bell Hurst Enterprise. (Incident No. H03-1591574) I HAMILTON TOWNSHIP ACCIDENT: A two-vehicle accident Saturday morning at 267 Warm Spring Road resulted in minor injuries to one driver.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, Ray E. Gladhill, 34, Hagerstown, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger east on Center Drive and a 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by Nicholas R. Yeager, 25, Chambersburg, was traveling south on Warm Spring Road at 10:29 a.m. Police said Gladhill approached a stop sign, pushed his brake pedal but was unable to stop the truck, which entered the intersection and collided with Yeager's vehicle. Gladhill sustained minor injuries and Yeager was not injured.
