Miss Madeline Sarkes, a former club president, presided as mistress of ceremonies. Miss Sarkes introduced the invited guests who included the 'Footwear Plant Factory Manager Jack Smith and Mrs. Smith; Chemical Factory Manager, John D. Evans and Mrs.

Evans; Director of Eastern Management Information Center, Richard F. Lawler and Mrs. Lawler; Manager of Scheduling Department at Footwear, Charles E. Arndt and Mrs. Arndt; Footwear Industrial Relations Manager, T.

Behrman and Mrs. Behrman; Footwear Controller, Thomas P. Hogan and Mrs. Hogan; and Footwear Production Control Manager William T. Mischou and Mrs.

Mischou. Several retired members of the Uniroyal Girls'Club attended the banquet and they were introduced to the members. This year the Uniroyal Girls' Club awarded scholarships to high school business seniors who intend to continue their studies in the field of business. Money for the scholarship is realized from the proceeds of the club's annual cardpartyand fashion show plus the assistance of the Footwear Plant management. Another important club project is the Campersliip Awards given each year to deserving area persons whose names are suggested by the Connecticut Society for Crippled Children and Adults. This year a group of crippled children will enjoy a week or more at Camp Hemlock in Trumbull, Connecticut.
