Ebert Signs With Mariners Scott Ebert, the former Edmond High School pitcher who was releaed in March by the San Francisco Giants, was signed Friday by the Seattle Mariners, who assigned him to their Arizona (rookie) League team in Tempe.

Ebert, who developed arm trouble during the 1989 season, said the Mariners sent him to Tempe to work on his pitching mechanics.
