Carol Daniels to call the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation at (800) 522-8017. FROM PAGE 1A Investigators have been tight-lipped about the crime scene. Anadarko police and Caddo County sheriff's officials referred questions to the OSBI. Bureau spokeswoman Jessica Brown would not release further details Tuesday. Autopsy completed Cherokee Ballard, spokeswoman for the state medical examiner's office, said Daniels' autopsy was completed Monday, but OSBI investigators asked that no details about the pastor's death be released.

Brown said investigators feared release of further details would hamper the investigation. Burns said he could not share any details except to dispel rumors that the pastor had been crucified. Ezra Randle of Elk City, overseer of Christ Holy BY AARON CRESPO Staff Writer acrespoc3opubco.com ANADARKO Historically, the walls of a church have offered sanctuary. So when a pastor is found slain on sacred ground, it puts the church in unfamiliar territory and brings up questions of security. Police found the body of the Rev.

Carol Daniels of Oklahoma City about noon Sunday inside the Christ Holy Sanctified Church. The crime has shaken the small, lesser-known black Pentecostal denomination, and members of the Anadarko Ministerial Alliance plan to meet today to discuss security concerns. Ezra Randle of Elk City, overseer of Christ Holy Sanctified Churches in Oklahoma, said the crime was unimaginable. "We've never lost a pas brought to justice." Mercer said the situation has made him think about the security in his own church. "We're all concerned about it because our church is only three blocks from her church and you know, you just kind of assume that the person who did this very well may be walking around the neighborhood.

It may be someone that we've seen or know," Mercer said. "It's a big concern. You bet it is." Pastor Ted Mercer, 55, preaches at Grace Christian Fellowship, three blocks from Daniels' church in Anadarko. "I had met her on a couple of occasions," he said. "She seemed like a very nice person.

The community is just really shocked. Everyone's concerned and just praying that the person who committed the crime would be tor like this. It's pretty devastating," Randle said. Randle, 50, said he thinks Daniels had been making the drive to Anadarko about five years. She would preach even if no one was around.

"Time and traveling on the road was not an issue, not a sacrifice. It was something she enjoyed doing," Randle said. "Sometimes there might be a visitor or some -times one of her family members might go with her. But if she didn't have anybody to go with her, she would go down and Sanctified Churches of Oklahoma, said he had known Daniels for decades and saw her regularly. He said Daniels was his assistant when he was a youth leader in the 1980s.

"She was a very generous person and very soft-spoken and really concerned about people, people's souls, so to speak," Randle said.
