Sept. 21. 1968 19 LA Lands Alston For 16th Season Trull Joins Plainsmen tonight The Los Angeles Dodgers, struggling to keep from failing into, the National League cellar, announced Friday that-Walter Alston will be back in 1969 for his 16th season as manager. The club also announced that Fred f'Dixie" Walker, who was a star outfielder for the Brooklyn Dodgers more than two decades ago, has been signed as batting instructor for the entire Dodger organization Dallas Cowboys flanker Sims Stokes, middle linebacker Ed Harmon, running back George Nordgren and safety Ken Kmiec. All are expected to start against Omaha.

Both Oklahoma City and Omaha own 2-1 league records, although both rank in the bottom four of the league's offensive and defensive statistics. The Plainsmen are next-to-last in the 16-teain loop in offense with 314 yards per game and the Mustangs are 13th at 226.7. In defense, Omaha is last with a yield of 348.3 while Oklahoma City is 13th at 316.7. Oklahoma City split ejid Ron Francis Is third in receiving with 17 catches for 312 yards.
