Army, Navy Classic Saturday By DICK DUNKEL Now that national rankings and. conference standings have almost jelled for this waning college football season, the Army, the Navy, and general tradition will take over what's left- Next Saturday's annual service classic, at Philadelphia, will find the two academy teams as closely rated as ever before, but in roles reversed from last year. Army, after a surprisingly good icason, has a Power Index of 94.1, Navy, after a surprisingly mediocre season, has one of 92.7. That's a difference of slightly more than one point. It means that Army has been that much stronger, per game, against comparable rated opposition.

Army Favored Oddly enough, their comparative performances against Duke bear this out. Army won, 14-13, while the Middies tied the Blue Devils, 0-0.
