BAILY NEWS-MINER FAIRBANKS, ALASKA, MONDAY, MARCH 5, 1934. SCREEN LIFE HOLLYWOOD TO FAIRBANKS Would you like to see what happens inside the police division of a great throbbing city's emergency hospital? You can get the low-down on the pulsing, surging dramas that materialize each second of the day following the clanging bells and the shrieking sirens of those hurtling ambulances in tonight's drama THE GIRL IN 419. Featured are JAMES DUNN and GLORIA STUART with a dan dy supporting cast consisting of David Manners, JOHNNY HINS, Shirley Grey, Vince Barnett and many others. Johnny Kines, for years one of the foremost comedy stars in silent pictures, is rapidly disproving the theory that THEY NEVER COME BACK. In tonight's picture he's a live-wire reporter, he turns out a very nice piece of Here's hoping they keep shov- PAGE SEVEN.

Anything may happen, and usually does." They got even with him during the filming of THE GIRL, IN 419. After each scene he appeared in the director would say. "Terrible.

that scene was terrible." They even had notices coming to the stage from the Big Boss saying there were too many scenes being retaken on account of Barnett and if things didn't change quickly, some one else would be given his role. And it wasn't until the very end of the picture that he discovered they had been "riding" him just his efforts.
