Couple Entertains With Party For Son Leaving: For Service Mr. and Mrs. William Perry, CHnton-st, entertained with a farewell party Wednesday evening in honor of their son, William, who left this morning for service with the U. S. Navy.

Contest games and pinochle provided the entertainment with awards in the card games going to Willian? Perry and Mrs. Walter Sheets. In the contest games Ruby Windgate, Jean Perry, Dick Andres, Eleanor Kaufman, Dorothy Stiewe, Clara Mae Perry, end William Perry, were fortunate. For the refreshment service which concluded the party the table appointments were in red, white and blue. A large cake topped with a miniature sailor and a marine was used for the centerpiece.

The honored guest was presented numerous gifts. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. John Perry, Mrs. George Noftz, Mr.

and Mrs. Walter Sheets, Eleanor Kaufman, Dorothy Stiewe. Ruby Windgate, Betty, Barbara and Nancy Noftz, Peggy Ann, Clara Mae and Jean Perry, Dick Andres, Jim Pepitone, Nelson Noftz and Alvin Rohrbacher. initial Fall Meet Of Sewing Circle Held Wednesdoy With the new officers conducting the meeting. United Ladies Sewing Circle opened its fall session of work a tthe home of Mrs.

Legion Auxiliary Women Hear Reports of Conference, Dance Reports of the fifth district conference held here Oct. 25 and the dance for service men given this week in connection with the U.S.O., were read when the American Legion auxiliary, Commodore Denig unit No. 83 met in the legion headquarters, Thursday evening.

It was also announced that boxes have already been sent to Losing Team Gives Parly For Winners The winning team in an attendance contest of the Kum-Join-Us class of First Christian Church was entertained by the losing team in the church basement last night.
