1 McDonald Will Take Toivcar Kickback Scandal to Jurors Top city authorities got ready yesterday to pull the rug from under grafting cops involved in a multi-million-dollar shakedown racket victimizing towcar operators and some of the grafters were headed for a painful fall. In Brooklyn, District Attorney J' 5 in Miles McDonald announced that evidence in the scandal would be presented to the rackets grand jury within a month. Murphy Makes a CalL "You can safely assume that we have enough evidence for the grand jury to enable it to take appropriate action," McDonald said. In simpled language, that meant McDonald believed indictments would be voted. On Saturday night, meanwhile, Police Commissioner Murphy made a hush-hush visit to one precinct station house whose cops reportedly have been active in the racket.
