Using the two planes which took H-SU football players to games last fall, the musicians will leave the Abilene airport for a non-stop flight to Washington, D. C. where they will give their first concert. The band will play on the stept of the Capitol at 6 p. m.

Saturday. It will move on to New York Sunday and lead the Texas Lions in their parade Monday. Guests this year of the state organization, the college musicians will be in New York to support the candidacy of Herb Petrie, Carriio Springs, for vice president, and to give color and enthusiasm to the Texas delegation. More than 12 local Lions are expected to be in New York for the four-day convention which begins Monday, among them will Joe Williamson who has attended 12 Lions International conventions. A I I A LEAVE The first Abilene group was to leave by rail this morning.

Also on the train were Hardin-Simmons' six white horses, which were under the custodianship of Will Watson. They are travelling in a specially prepared expressed car, and will become a part of the Lions Special which is to leave Fort Worth this afternoon. In going to the Lions meeting In ew York the Hardin-Simmons band is making a repeat performance--and as convention champion band. In.San Francisco last year the Texas group was chosen from a large number musical organizations as the most colorful and most musical. On the return trip the band will stop in Cincinnati where it will give a concert at the University of Cincinnati.

W--Union leaders have announced that seafarers and dock workers the world over will soon observe an international labor boycott of ships sailing under the flag of Panama and Honduras. Opening date for the boycott will set by the seafarer's section of the International Transport Workers Federation. The federation is lolding an international congress in Oslo. Delegates said it is the concensus many ship owners have placed vessels under Panamanian or Honduras registry to dodge taxation or to complying with other countries' standards of wages and working conditions. Funeral will be held at 5 o'clock this afternoon at Elliott's Chapel of Memories, 542 Hickory, for Arnhold Galle, 56, View farmer who was found dead at his home Wednesday morning.

The Rev. George Massengale, View Baptist minister, will officiate. Military rites will be conducted at Drummond Cemetery, View, by Abilene Veterans of Foreign Wars, as was a World War I veteran of service with the 36th Division.
