BOCK August 2 1977 Pair Of Stabbings Lead List Of Lubbock Crime Police were investigating several outbreaks of violence in the city Sunday, as well as the usual spate of thefts and burglaries. When officers halted a speeding vehicle at 4 28 a m. Saturday they discovered Ernestine Thomas, 35, of Rt 1, Lubbock, had been stabbed while in a club on Idalou Road. Another person who was driving the car when it was stopped in the 3200 block of 19th Street told police a 38-year-old woman had stabbed the victim. Miss Thomas was taken to Methodist Hospital, where she was treated and leased for a stab wound to the left side of her chest.

Douglas Lee Biles, 6516 Ave. told officers he was driving south in the 4400 block of Slide Road at 10 a.m. Saturday when two white males in a late-model Chevrolet pulled beside him and yelled at him. When Fiiiles stopped his car, one of the men came to his side of the car and started stabbing him with what was believed to be a pocket knife, he told police. Biles was treated and released at Methodist Hospital for a ihigh wound.

Bobbie Sue Hill, of 1307 53rd Apt. told police someone entered her apartment about 11 p.m. Friday and stole $1,605.50 in household goods. Burglars apparently gained entry to the apartment through an unlocked rear window and took a television set. a camera, a carton of cigarettes, a ring set and a clock radio.

Mike Brewer, of 5501 22nd reported to police the theft of his bicycle from his home between 3 a.m and 9 a.m. Saturday. The foreign-made bike was valued at $630 Joe Kirk of 1722 E. Dartmouth. Apt.

told police burglars entered his home Obituaries tween 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday and removed $3,000 in furniture and appliances. Taken in the heist were a couch, chair, radio, television, microwave oven, dishwasher. washer, dryer and vacuum cleaner.

Burglars also hit the home of M. Lea Brownfield of 2710 31st police reports indicated. Burglars struck between 2 p.m. Aug. 14.

and 8 p.m. Saturday, and removed $1,525 in household goods. Stolen were a stereo, a turntable, a reel-to-reel tape player, speakers, a tape player, clock radio, tapes and albums. Burglars entered the residence hy breaking the back door window and unlocking the door, police said. Larry M.

Furrow, of 5708 80th told police someone stole five tires and wheels from a rack on the lot of Lone Star Ford at 703 Slaton Road. Furrow, the sales manager at the dealership. told police the theft occurred between 4:30 p.m. Aug. 13.

and 7:30 a.m Aug. 15. Charles Grisham, of 2306 79th told police someone entered his home between Aug. 15, and Saturday at an known time and removed a ring valued at 1385 from a dresser top. Grisham told police his home is for sale and he suspected a visitor to his home of the theft.

Burglars struck the home of Felipe Garcia. 1109 52nd Saturday between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m.. reports indicated. Taken were a guitar, guitar case and silver dollars, with a total value of $835.

George W. House, of 2201 28th told police burglars entered his hofne between 8 p.m. and midnight Saturday and stole a television, two clocks and a calculator valued at $40. Mrs. Clyde Baldridge LEVELLAND (Spprial) Services for Mrs.
