At the present time Catholic Mass is held only on Holy Days of Obligation in the chapel. A regular Sunday Mass schedule will be announced at a later date told in Mark's gospel, chapter one, of a leper who sought healing. Would you care to place your hand upon a leper? Yet "Jesus moved with compassion, put forth His hand and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou Jesus did not need to touch him; yet, this act and many others like it made for a very compassionate ministry of our Lord. He did not heal in the mass. Some folks seem to think that they are going to heaven by whole churchesful.

They feel that God sees and hears the congregation worship as a mass or collective group of people. Jesus called the disciples one by one and only twelve. He preached to the masses but when it came to the more personal things, such as healing and conversion, it was a single act. A personal relationship between the soul and Christ is the need of each of us. In ministering to the sick and troubled I find that they can best be helped by sensing that God is very near and that He is personally interested in their situation, desiring to help them if they will come to Him as did the blind man.

"And He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the Look at the trouble the Lord goes to in a personal ministry. How is it that we doubt the kindness of the Lord Jesus? The fulfillment of the second phrase of our text is dependent upon our obedience in iulfillina the first phra9e. "Draw nigh unto God." We can not expect God to draw niqh unto us unless we first make some effort to draw nigh unto Him. Jesus helped those who sought help. Many of those whom Jesus healed did not draw nigh to Him physically for they could not.

Some were lame, others were blind and still others were bed-fast. But they -could draw nigh in spirit or mind, and in so doing gained the ear and favor of Jesus. The prodigal arose and came to his father but while he was yet a gTeat way off the father saw him and ran to meet him. Jesus, or God if you prefer, is very personal and if we begin our journey toward Him He will meet us with all the personal attachment that the father had for his prodigal son. what peace we often forfeit what needless pain we bear All because we do not cany Everything to God in prayer; Joseph Scrivan God has become, to many, impersonal, elevated and faraway because they have not maintained a constant personal association with Him.

They have left off Bible reading and praying, except when they are in some grave danger. Thus, our acquaintance with Him becomes' distant and far away. We have to reintroduce ourselves to God when we need Him and so feel that God is not personal at all. "Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you." It's not your take-home pay but your "keep home" pay that counts. Will it be enough? Life insurance can help.

The Schoenbrunn Palace is a cherished reminder of the days of royalty, its theater a gem that sparkles with ancient glory. Here Mozart had played at the age of six years. Here Napoleon had come for concerts and the rulers of the old Austro Hungarian Empire dreamed of a never-ending glory.

We looked up as other guests came into the row. We laughed with surprise as friends of the years were seated next to us. Since neither of us knew that the other was in Europe, we could only grin and join in the ancient cliche, "Isn't it a small world?" Imagine meeting you here!" That delightful and not too -rare incident only emphasizes our astonishment at ruling out this same possibility of God's presence. The surprising meeting with old friends in distant places is always a possibility. Why should we rule out the possibility of discovering God's purpose in some surprising situation? To have faith is to do more than say that God exists.

It's to understand that he comes into the same row. becomes your seat mate at the drama, and is involved in the total event until at last ycu recognize bis presence and say, "Imagine meeting you here Finding Imagine By RALPH Newspaper YOU ARE INVITED TO ATTEND REVIVAL SERVICES AT KING STREET UNITED BRETHREN CHURCH King and Second Streets NOVEMBER 17 DECEMBER 1 A clinical analysis of much of the despair, purposeless living and insane clawing at one another that passes for life for many people is due to a sense of abandonment.
