I and flie Road V&e side of llie Cross CHURCH FOR FOR THE Not uncommon loday in Mexico is Hie wayside shrine. Here the weary traveler may kneel and say a prayer. Here, loo,- the peasant and the peasant's children have a constant reminder of the Failh by which they live. But Ihere is a greater need than the Cross by Ihe side of the Road. Man needs a Road by the side of the Cross. For all ihe world the season of Lent is such a road. It brings \is face to Sace'vt'rih spiritual realities . . . with the divine love maniSesled in Jesus Christ . . . with the human hatreds that nailed Hiin to a Cross. Yes, Lent is our Road by the side oi the Cross.
