Centre Street to the new building will take place next year. "This is concrete evidence," said J. F. Stanton tiday, "of the necessity of the Telephone Company to plan long in advance of the need of new facilities.

We must know several years ahead about how much equipment we are going to need. We built the new building and made our plans so that the new plant would be ready for service when the need for larger switchboards and other central office equipment would be required. "The equipment at 8 S. Centre St-, is adequate at the present time, but before another year or two have pa-s-sed it will not be able to meet the needs of this section for telephone service. Had we waited until the demands for telephone service exceeded the capacity of the old central office.
