Mrs. Cecilia Harness Mrs. Cecilia Bobbin Harness, 53, 4510 W. Sycamore Road, died early Sunday morning In tier home. Born Feb.

4, 1920, in Kokomo, she attended Northwestern University. She wus a member of the board of directors of the Franklin D. Miller Company. She moved to Kokomo two years ago from Florida, where she had been active in real estate sales. She was a member of Alpha Phi sorority and First Congregational Christian Church UCC.

She was past president of Indiana Women Golfers Association and had been a teacher of bridge. Surviving are the mother, Mrs. Ludle Elliott of Kokomo; two sons, Lee Harness of Kansas City, and Robert Harness of Cuba, N.M.; a daughter, Mrs. Ton! Sanchez of Boston, two sisters, Mrs. Merlin (Jane) Gantz of Scottsdale, and Mrs.

James (Marilyn) Sherrin of Indianapolis, and a granddaughter. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Fenn Funeral Home, with the Rev. John Staton officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Mrs. Elsie Shirley GALVESTON--Mrs. Elsie Shirley, 78, formerly of Galveston, died at 6:10 p.m.

Wednesday in the home of her daughter, 1630 Marbro Lane, Carmel. She had been ill for 11 months. Born June 20, 1895, in Cass County, she was the daughter of John Wesley and Margaret (Carey) Bevington. She was retired from the RCA plant In Indianapolis and was a life member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. She was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. James L. (Jean) Adams of Carmel and a son, Jackson C. Shirley of Colorado Springs, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.

Saturday in Thomas-Murray Funeral Home, Galveston, with the Rev. Clyde Byers officiating. Burial will be in Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday.

The family prefers that memorials be in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society. Correction Cecil R. Thomas, 61, died Nov. 1 in Howard Community Hospital. The date was incorrect in his obituary, published Friday.

Richards, 60, 322 Kentucky Tiplon, died of natural causes Wednesday at 8 a.m. in his home. Born in Clinton County on Aug. 27, 1913, he was the son of George W. and Beulah G.

(Bynum) Richards. On Nov. 1938, he married Kathleen M. Carter, who survives. He was employed as a switchman for the Norfolk and Western Railroad.

He attended West Street Christian Church in Tipton and was a member of Loyal Order of Moose, BEnevolent Protective Order of Elks and'the Brotherhood of Trainmen. Surviving with his wife are his father, George W. Richards, Tipton; two sons, Larry Richards, Muncie, and Charles Richards, Goshen; one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Rogers, Pendleton; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Engledow, Indianapolis; three brothers, Clark Richards, Norman, Byron Richards, Frankfort, and Leon Richards, Frankfort, and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton. Burial will be at Fariview Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home beginning Friday and continuing until the hour of the services on Saturday. Mrs.

Opal Polk TIPTON Mrs. Opal Charles Rubush Polk, 64, 412 E. Poplar Kokomo, died Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. at Tipton County Memorial Hospital. She had been ill three months.

Born at Atlanta on Feb. 15, 1909, she was the daughter of Harmon E. and Olive B. (Thomas) Tomlinson. On Feb.

15,1969, she married Charles Polk, who survives. A resident of Tipton for 35 years, she was retired from Delco Electronics Division in Kokomo. She attended the First Presbyterian Church of Tipton and was a member of the Kokomo Ladies of Moose and United Auto Workers. Surviving with her husband are one son, Lester C. Rubush, El wood; one daughter, Mrs.

Fred (Joyce) Keown, Swqyzee; four sisters, Mrs. Vernice Carr, Elwood, Mrs. Fern Shook, Largo, Mrs. Doris Smith, Tipton, and Mrs. Lilin Hashbuger, Lafountain; five brothers, Allen Tomlinson, Lansing, Guy Tomlinson, Middletown, Ralph Tomlinson, Martinsville, Richard Tomlinson, Tipton and William Tomlinson Florida and five grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Tipton First Presbyterian Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may call at Young-Nichols Funeral Home in Tipton anytime Friday and at the church on Saturday beginning one hour prior to the services. Funerals JOHN F.

Ben Bert James LOGANSPOKT--Ben Bert James, 48, Cainden R.R. 1, died at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday in Home Hospital, Lafayette, following an extended Illness. Born Sept. 11, 1925, in South Whltlcy, he was the son of Everett and Anna (Fisher) James.

He was married Dec. 10, 1947, to Thelina Zelder, who survives. He was employed by Milbank Manufacturing Co. Inc. of Kokomo and was a veteran of Worid War II, having served in the U.S.

Navy. Surviving with the widow are two sons, Timothy James of Logansport and Stephen James of Camden R.R. two brothers, Paul James and Jim James, both of Logansport; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Jagger of South Whitley, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m.
