SEPT. 4 By the Associated Press Japan's radio broadcasts today announced postponement of its extraordinary diet session to coincide with surrender delays, and reported a continuing scries or other home- front and foreign office changes to a a the nation to its new role-defeat. The two-day extraordinary session will begin Sept. 4 instead of Sent. 2, Domei news agency said.

Also announced was abolition of Japan's Greater East Asia ministry the war-time consolidator of Asiatic conquest. The ministry will be incorpor- ated in the foreign ministry. Other surrender preparations disclosed by Tokyo radio broadcasts included: A central liaison office, to deal with Allied occupation authorities, is now ready to function, with Katsuo Okazaki as director-general and Katsuhiro Narita, Ryuji Takeuchi, Saburo Ota and Eiji Wajima as directors. The office is intended to handle every' occupation problem from general affairs to reparations and release of prisoners. The Japanese government today requested General MacArthur's permission to resume suspended ferry service between Japan and Korea, to enable Koreans and Japanese to return to their respective homes.

Implying that there are huge crowds waiting at the two terminal point's, the broadcast described "scarcity 'of food and difficulty in maintenance of order." Kail transportation, another broadcast said, will be restored to prewar levels by the end of the year. Restoration of all communications facilities and debuilding of destroyed homes of railway workers are expected to be.completed by the end-of November, the Japanese-language broadcast beamed to America reported. Japan also notified. MacArthur that not all her unarmed planes used in connection with surrender actiivties can be white-painted. Some army planes will carry only the prescribed green crosses and trail red streamers, the message said.

On the home front, Japan relaxed a bit; government officials and employes will no longer work on Sundays, Domei news agency said. Throughout the war, all government offices had worked seven days a week by decision of the Tojo cabinet. Bible Conference Opened at Victory Center by Dr. Smith Dr. Earl C.
