After securing the license they went to the home of one of our local pastors and were married.

In the meanwhile the Clerk's oflice was notified that the couple were not of age and that they were being manied without consent. Knowing wheic the couple ed to go to have the pet formed the oflieeis were notified and sent there to prevent their marriage if possibblc. As the officers arrived on the scene the young couple were just in the act of leaving the residence. They had already been married and it was too late for the officers to do anything.
