EDITOR'S MAIL BAG Dear Sir; I wish you would please this in the Evening Herald. I visited my home town Shenandoah recently after being away for quite some time and was surprised to see that Shenandoah looks like one of the nicest towns in the state of Pennsylvania.

When I first came to Shenandoah June 1, 1891, the town wasn't near ly as big as it is now. In those days, the main street was like a "mud" hole, until Burgess Tabor surfaced the street from end to end. Since my visit to Shenandoah was short, I was unable to visit all my friends including Dr. and Mrs. Edward Feifer, the South Jardin street dentist and his wife, who I would appreciate hearing from.
