The following amounts were received and disbursed during the current year ynodi cnl Treasury, llme Missions, Foreign Missions Education, It must be observed, that these sums are far from constituting the enf.Ve amounts collected within the bounds of Synod during tho year, as niany of the congregations themselves disburse their funds, and they hence do not pass through tbe Treasury of (ho Synod.

Synod considered a report of a couimittoo appointed at its lait session, (llov. Dr. Krautb chairman, to examine the Rubric of the General Synod for the public services of the Sanctuary. Tho object is to secure a greater uniformity ip the order of worship. The Rubric, proposed by the Committee was amended in various parts, but before any action was taken Synod adjourned.

Evening Session. Rev. L. E.Albert, of Germantown, preached an instructive and edifying discourse, from lid Kings VI, 17: "And EUha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, tbat ho may sue. And tho Lord opened the eyes of the young man and be Faw.

And, behold, tho mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Llisha." SECOND DAY'S PROCKEDINGS. Thhrsdav, Sept. 5, 1S62. After spending half an hour in devotional exercises, Synod was opened with prayer by Rev. 8.

Domer. Peter Renner presented credentials to reprint Ziou's Church, Rucks county, as lay delegate. The application was subsequently withdrawn for the pre 1 sent. Rev. Sludebaker and Rov, Koons, of Hanover, were excused for non attendance.

Re v.t Albert, for reasons given, was excused from serving as a speaker at the anniversary of the Education Society. On motion it was resolved, that the Mission and Education business be considered this afternoon, tlio Anniversaries tobe held this evening. L. L. nonpt, delegate from St.

Mark's Church, Phl ladelphia, presented a series of resolutions, in which sai congregation requests leave to withdraw from this body.in order to connect itself with the Penna. Synod. The prayerof the petitioners was unanimously gianted. Fink, (chairman) presented the Annual Report of the Home Missionary Committee. Tbt Board has had under its supervision, during the last fy nodical year, the following mission fields 1. The Ashland charge, Rev.

Rarnitz, missionary. 2. The Upper charge, Rev. Weber, missionary. 3 The Fisherville charge, Rev.

Davidson, missionary 4. The Block House charge, Rev. Studebaker.mission ary. 5 Chestnut Hill, Rev. II M.

Bickel, missioc ary. TU last mtuied two charges are pronounced to be now self sustaining. There are, therefore, now only three missionaries on the funds of the society, although there are other openings within the bounds of the Synod, which, if suitable laborers could be found, the Society should at once occupy. Tbe former son inittee was re appointed. Rev.

Weber made rtatements in relation to difficul ties in the Church, Schuylkill county. The question of continuing a missionary there was left to tbe discretion of the Home Missionary Commit tee A committee, consisting of Revs. Wedekind, Hen ry, and Barnitz, was appointed, to attend to securing to tbe congregation of Br. Weber the church, from which they have been most unjustly ousted. Rev.

A aid made application for assistance to the amount of 103 in tbe Minersville charge. Applica. tion referred to the Committee, with instructions to consider it favorably Rev. Wedekind, (Chairman.) presented the Annual Report of the Education Society of Synod. Duling the past year ten beneficiaries have been sustained, all of whom have pursued their studies in the Institutions at Gettysburg In reference to the nural and iicntal attainments of these young men their teachers speak with commendation; Two or the beneficiaries, however, have enlisted in the army of the country, with the solemn pledge, at tho end of the war, If their lives are spared, to resume their studies.

The receipts and expenditures of the past year are as follows Receipts, $1G10 84. Expenditures, 51C16 9S. The committee recommends, that, hereafter applications for aid from tho funds of the Soc ety be made ix fbrson On motion of Dr. Greenwald, this recomn nidation was adopted. Rev.

Wedekind was continued the chairman of the committee. The names of several new applicants for beneficiary aid were presented. On motion, it was Resolved, That to morrow morning, from to 0 o'clock, be exclusively occupied by Synod in supplicating tuefavorof Almighty God in behalf our imperiled land, and in devotional eiercises htving reference to our naliouhl trials. Rev. Dr Hay (chairman) from the Committee on the Pastor's Fund, made it port, which was adopted.
