Jimmic McClurc, 31 years old, 2419 Southwest Thirty-fourth street, was being treated at Bone and Joint hospital. He suffered fractures of both legs when a stack of steel beams fell on him. They were moved only by use Smith, attorney, former congressman and former Townsend plan advocate: and Frank P. Douglass, Oklahoma City, district judge. They have been forminft the lines sine the first of the year, and all three of them nre well along with Uieir organization and speaking campaigns.

Burns Reaetlon Awaited Robert Burns, state senator and former lieutenant governor, leaped In the race Saturday afternoon, but developments must show whether his plunsn will create a splash or be a more rip-plc. Developments will show whether he will be a major contender. Burns said he had been urged to file and he had backing from persons of small finances. He declared he thought himself as well or better qualified than nny of thc other three, and many persons were dissatisfied with the field. With the campaign hardly under way.

Kerr Is becoming the tnrRot of the camps of Smith and Douglass. The strategy from those forces will be an attempt to smear the national committeeman with oil. Smith Is the only one of the three tried in a state-wide mnjor race, and he has tried in several. Douglass ran for congressmnn-at-targc in 1932 and made a iwor showing. Kerr Organization Good Kerr hasn't made a campaign, and Burns tried for governor in 1934 ln addition to his races for lieutenant-governor.

Apparently, Kerr has thc best organization nt this stage of thc campaign, with thc friendship if not the backing of most of thc Democratic party organization. He also hni strong support from church and hv voters, plus new deal backing. Ken has bid for anti-Phillips administration support. His answer to attack: because of his beinR an oil man wll be to point to his Ior cabin buck ground and boyhood. Douglass likewise has bid for nn tional administration support.

Phillips Men Kind to Smith Although there will be no anil-new deal or anti-Roosevelt stand In tin campaign. Smith comes nearer It appealing to thc vote. Hie desire ol the Phillips administration to aef Kerr defeated seems to be throwlns thc support to Smith, although tin unable to free him. He is an oil field worker, and was injured Saturday.
