Senator Clee, Republican candidate for governor, today urged "organised labor and the wage earners of the state generally go forward to a better day In New Jersey with a liberalized Republican party." Clee declared that "Mayor Frank Hague, of Jersey City, leader of the Democratic state machine, Is labor's No.

1 enemy In New Jersey and so long as he can dominate and control government here he will be a definite barrier to better things for the wage earners of the state." Clee's statement was released at his headquarters here. "Mr. Hague's control will continue Just as long as he csn elect legislators and governors who are under the domination of his political ma chine," continued Clee. "Every wage earner In the state knows that the Democratic candidate for governor has been and will continue to be under the domination of the Democratic state machine. "I recommend that every wage earner in this state read carefully our Republican state platform and the promise wnicn it noma out to labor.

That platform means every word It says. I regard It as a binding covenant between me and the people of this state. I propose, with the help of a Republican legislature and the public opinion of thla state, to make every one of Its promises a reality. "I appeal to the individual wage earners of this state to think for themselves, to disregard political propaganda put out by a selfish, tottering machine which is going to be swept away on November 2. GSO. 11. 7r, Property of Closed Banks Should Be Sold at Market Value, Walker Says Announcement In the past week of forthcoming proposed sales at three points ii New. Jersey of real estate In possesion of closed national banks, By order of the Comptrollei of the Currency, is an "unfortunate and disastrous method of handling the problem," according to Samuel D. Walker, president of the New Jersey Asoctatlon of Rial Estate Boards.

"The proposed method of dlsnoslni of the properties foreclosed for the accounts of the closed financial In stitutions is entirely out of line with what should be done in New Jersey," said walker. "There la no sane reason why real estate In New Jersey, whether controlled by the Federal Government or any other agency, or by private individuals, cannot best be handled hv New Jersey realtors, familiar aa they are with all the elements of value and knowlntr the aucceaaful methods of real estate marketing existing within the state. It Is nothing short of a direct affront to local experts to order such sales as those proposed conducted by auctioneers coming into New Jersey from outside the borders of our state. Aside from the fact that disposal or management of any real estate may beat oo handled by the local brokers best equipped in knowledge and experience to know what values are in any given community, the records show the auction method of selling foreclosed properties to have met with little or no success In our State. "Also, the present is a very unfortunate time in which to experiment.

The auction sale of homes and other holdings in bank realty wherein properties likely shall be knocked down to bidders at prices far below their present values right now could do only harm to the maret." Walker pointed out that the association at its October meeting last week voted a protest against the method of sale proposed by the Comptroller of Currency "There Is little evidence," he continued, "that any, appreciable effort has been made to sell the properties of the closed banks by the ordinary, sane procedure of marketing them through established brokers at prices comparable to current values. Thete may have been a few sales, but there has been no direct effort to handle the situation strictly within the field in which the properties are located. "Depositors whose lunds are tied up in the closed hanks have definite rights to tne Dest nandiing or tneir equity possible. Certainly they arc entitled to use of good Judgment in the selling program. Good Judgment would have suggested: First, calling real estate men of New Jersey Into conference to frame a plan for disposing of the properties; and, secondly, the setting of fair prices for the holdings in accordance with the true value of the properties and the prevailing market conditions by local realtors who have the required knowledge and experience to determine upon a plan.

"The fact that this was not done Is evidenced by the sudden announcement of the Impending auctions. The auction method never has been successful in New Jersey. In any event, it is the last thing to do the court of last resort. Even then It should not be necessary to go outside the state to select the men who may handle the sales. New Jersey has as good real estate men as ran be found anywhere In the country, and her brokers naturally are the best equipped to handle her properties." MOTHER OF 5 CHILDREN GETS 60 DAYS AS DRUNK Police Judge Mariano Saturday sentenced Mrs.

Marie Zimmerman, 30, of 2838 Concord avenue, mother of five children, to. Jail for 60 days on a drunk and disorderly charge. "You ought to be ashamed of yourself," Judge Mariano said. "A mother of five children. You're drunk now." "My children are all right," Mrs.

Zimmerman retorted. "My house is clean." Mrs. Zimmerman was arrested near her home at 1 a. m. by Patrolman Walter Patton, after neighbors told police she had been thrown out of a car.

She was treated at Cooper Hospital for lacerations of the right wrist and face. Patton arrested Mrs. Zimmerman on a similar charge six weeks ago. Judge Mariano freed Mrs. Zimmer man after the policeman pleaded for ner.
