Merrill and Audrey Wuerch and children, Scott and Laurie, of 3203 Fremont spent a week in Door County, camping at Peninsula State Park. Last weekend the family entertained the Russell Heiss family of Hudsonville, Mich. Celebrating their 10th anniversary in Rolling Meadows, John and Irene Sheppard, 3404 Fremont Lane, hosted a get together for 50 guests, whose enjoyment even the rain could not dampen. Playing bridge Sunday with Nick and Bette Geiser, 3002 Oriole Lane, were John and Lois O'Hara of Arlington Heights. The Bridge Club held a family picnic Saturday at Dee Grove Preserve. Attending were the families of Harold Hawkes, Bill Roberts, Howland Werling and Byron Posvell. To celebrate their 19th wedding anniversary Tuesday, Don and Nancy Dahlquist, 2506 Sigwalt were treated to dinner at Shanghai Lil's Restaurant in Chicago by Mr. and Mrs. George Olson of Evanston.

Michael Metreger celebrated his ninth birthday Tuesday with a baseball theme party for Raymond Graham, Richard Roos, Rod Jay. Walter Curran, Mike Cook, his; brothers, Mark and Martin, and sisters, Rita and Tina. Michael is the son of Don and Chris Metreger, 2208 Kirchoff Road. While there, they hosted a family reunion attended by the Al Ryans of Elmhurst, Raymond Fiedlers of Oak Park, the Skip Roths of Bellwood and Grandmother Fiedler of Forest Park. A duel birthday celebration was held Sunday for Dawn Marie, 5 and Glen Frank. 6, children of Chuck and Kay Ponczkowski, 2801 Campbell St. Attending were relatives and friends. A CELEBRATION was held Sunday by Wally and Diane Frytz, 2604 Campbell to honor the birthdays of Lynne, 10, and Bruce, 5.

Marshall Miller family are back home at 43 Forest after Mrs. Miller and the boys, Fred and Jim, spent all but three weeks of the summer at their summer home at Linden Hills, Mich. Although Mr. Miller was able to join them for some of the weekends, it wasn't until the end of their stay that he was able to join them for a full week of vacation.

His unpredictable summer was due to the Illinois Bell Telephone Co. strike. Each of the Welton Manlys' children had separate parties for their August birthdays, starting with Keith who became a teenager Aug. 9, followed by Laurel who was' 10 Aug. 20 and then by Ann, 9 Aug.

Elmwood made their plans, which also included their son, James, who will be two in November. Leaving the second week of August, the Feigs flew to Los Angeles and from there to spend 10 days in Honolulu on the island of Oahu. There they rented a car in order to see all of the sights, including Sea Life Park. They also took flights to the islands of Maui and Hawaii, and it was on the Kono coast of Hawaii that they saw the black sand beaches. a Mrs.

William McKinlay, their son, Billy, and Mrs. McKinlay's mother, Mrs. E. Stanley Currie, returned home to 44 S. Rohlwine Road on Saturday from a two-week vacation trip.

DRIVING EAST, they visited former Palanois Park residents, the Carl Levvins in Wilton, and the Tom Warners in Silver Springs, Md. Sightseeing was kept at a minimum, due to the hot weather, however, they did make stops en route home. Among them were to see Niagara Falls and Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. After spending the summer in Palanois Park, the Matt Oehl- bergs' Kathy, left Aug. 19 for Mexico City, Mexico.

While here this summer, she attended Harper Junior College to earn the extra credits necessary for her BA degree from the University of Arizona. Chicken Pox took over at the Norman Miller home, 25 N. Linden from July 11 until two weeks ago, when the four youngest, LeAnna, Tim, Jim and Dan, took their turns. And you can be sure that no two had them at the same time. BECAUSE OF the long period of confinement, the last special occasion to be celebrated was LeAnna's baptism in May.

The two August birthdays, Mr. Miller's, which was Aug. 4, and the ninth birthday of Norman Aug. 30, will be celebrated Sunday, as will Sandy's. She will be 8 Sept.

Guests in the evening for a family party were her grandparents, the Alfred Webbs from Lombard and Mr.

and Mrs. Alfred Gerisch from Westchester. Many happy returns of the day are also due Larry Bowman, Aug. 31; Candy Kastning, 8 Sept. 2, and Robby Piotrowski, 9 Sept.
