Survivors include his I fe Of Lyman; five step-children, Steven Baril of Cucamonga, Garnet Baril of Simi Valley, Sharon Sue Hawk of Hock Springs, Margaret Sherley of lielena, and Effie Jackson Of Lyman and nine grandchildren.

Paul Allan Barkdoll She and her sister, Tessie, operated a small cafe in Thermopolis at one time. She 1NaS an active member of the LOS Church and served faithfully in many callings. She WM preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, ow, sister, one son, two grandsons and one granddaughter. She is survived by two brothers, Loran Workman of Casper and Errol Workman of Lovell; One sister, Tessie Sharp of W'orland; seven children, Charlene Bales of Lander, Cheryl Babb of Fayetteville, N.C., Betty Jean Tjepkes of Portland, Bradley Bonar of Shingle Springs, Frank line Pitt of Wright and Leah Anderson of Frannie; :32 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Haskell Funeral Home of Lovell is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Franklin Keith will be celebrated today at 7 p.m. at the Vase Funeral Chapel in Rock Springs. Mrs. Dexter died May 5, 1997, at her home in Rock Springs. She was a lifelong resident of the city and had been in ill health for the past two years.

She was born July 25, 1951, in Rock Springs, the daughter of Paul and Mary Knezovich Karpan. She attended schools in Rock Springs and graduated from Rock Springs High School in 1970 and attended Western Wyoming Community College. She worked in various positions at the Rock Springs Daily Rocket-Miner for nine years from 1973 to 1982. She was a member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church.

Survivors include her mother of Rock Springs, one son, Chad Dexter of Phoenix; three sisters, Marilyn Kendall of Fresno, Sheila Karpan of Denver and Paula Karpan of Boise, Idaho; one niece and three nephews. She was preceded in death by her father on March 24, 1976. Funeral Home with the Rev. Ed Frederick from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church officiating. Mr.

Canfield died on May 5, 1997, at his home. Ile was born Dec. 23, 1919, in LeRaysville, to Leon 11. and Agnes M. (Shaper) Canfield.

Ile married Betty Pryde on May 2:3, 1942, in Elmira, N.Y. While in the Army, he was assigned to help open the Casper Air Base and he also closed it. Ile was honorably discharged from the Army as a master sergeant. Ile attended college in Trenton, N.J. Ile owned and operated 15th Street Grocery, Fisher's Grocery, The Brig, Rex's In Out, The Lounge, Red Barn, Beef Taco and the Marker at Alcova.

He also managed CY Liquor and worked at other Casper businesses. Survivors include his wife of Casper, a daughter, Dawn DeFreece of Casper; three brothers, Harry Canfield of Lancaster, Bob Canfield of New Milford, and Lew Canfield of Monroeton, and a granddaughter and son-in-law, both of Casper. Ile was preceded in death by one son, Ronald and a brother, Fredrick. The family would appreciate memorials to the Casper Humane Society or a charity of the donor's choice. Clara B.

Matheson CASPER Memorial services for Kenneth C. Werner, 87, will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Kate Schlechter and the Rev. Nathan Doerr officiating.

Cremation has taken place and inurnment will follow the service at 4 Highland Cemetery. 1 Mr. Werner died on May 5, 1997, at Wyoming Medical Center WERNER after a short illness. Ile was born March 15, 1910, in Maquoketa, Iowa, the son of Josephine (Jurgensen) and Chris Werner. He moved to Wyoming in 1929 and shortly after, began working for Burleson Trucking and hauled one of the first loads of road oil in Wyoming.

The days of the Great Depression brought employment at Jack Jones' Garage, followed by Butler Oliver's Service Station. In 1944, he started Werner's Service Station and founded Casper Outboard Motor Service in 1957, where he remained until his retirement in 1966. Ile married Mable P. Thompson on July 25, 1931, in Casper and they celebrated 64 years of marriage. Ile was a charter member of the Casper Boat Club upon completion of Alcova Dam.

Ile joined the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 22 and served as Noble Grand. Ile was also a longtime member of the Casper Water Ski Club. Ile enjoyed traveling, hunting, snowmobiling and fishing in Saskatchewan, Canada, during retirement. Survivors include his daughter, Rosalie Jo Ilayes of Reno, three sons, Alan Werner of Casper, Jon Werner of Riverton and Milton Werner of Cheyenne; a sister, Thelma Hafner of Memphis, eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Ile was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and his wife. Donations may be made to the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 22 or the Senior Center of Casper. Memorial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Elva Workman Anderson KAIVEE Funeral services for Paul Allan Barkdoll, 85, will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m.

at the Grace Mission Baptist Church in Kaycee with Pastor Danny Davis officiating. Burial will be in Kaycee Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo and on Thursday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

at the church in Kaycee. Mr. Barkdoll died May 4, 1997, at Poplar Living Center in Casper. He was born Oct. 29, 1911, in Gering, to Santford and Viola Myers Barkdoll.

He grew up and went to elementary school in Gering, and moved with his family in the early 1920s to Glendo, where he graduated from Glendo High School. Ile married Ruth C. Chroninger on Sept. 24, 1933, in Douglas and they made their home in Glendo for several years. In 1943, they moved to Kaycee, where they worked on various ranches.

In 1950, they built the and Cashway Grocery in Kaycee, which they owned and operated for 22 12 years. They retired in 1973 and Mr. Barkdoll continued to live in Kaycee until 1991, when he moved to the Poplar Living Center. He loved fishing and hunting and traveling with his wife, Ruth. Survivors include a son, Leon Barkdoll of Ft.

Collins, a sister, Grace Waters of Laramie; a daughter-in-law, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, his parents and five brothers. Friends may donate in his memory to the Kaycee Ambulance Service, in care of the Adams Funeral Home. Frances Elizabeth Meeks CASPER Services are pending for Frances Elizabeth Meeks, 86, of Big Piney, who died May 6, 1997, at Life Care Center in Casper. An obituary will follow with Memorial Chapel Funeral Home Crematory in charge of the arrangements.

KAYCH Funeral services for Kaycee resident Charles Franklin "Frank" Keith, 56, vere held at Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home in Osceola, on April 28, 1997, with the Rev. J. A. Hartley officiating and a Niasonic service conducted by Lodge 403 of Lowry City, Mo. Interment was at the Lowry City Cemetery.

Mr. Keith died peacefully in his sleep on April 22, 1997, at his home in Kaycee after enduring a year-long battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 9, 1941, at Caplinger Mills, the eldest son of Finnis and Louise Scholler Keith. He spent most of his youth at Foster, where he attended schools in Foster and Rich Hill, Mo.

As a young man, he moved to Oregon where he worked in the timber industry and completed a degree in welding. Later, he returned to Missouri and worked for nine years as a heavy equipment operator for Peabody Coal Co. at Calhoun, Mo. He moved his family to Wyoming in 1980 to work for Black Butte Coal at Rock Springs, He was employed with that company for 17 years, until ill health forced him to retire in June 1996, as a heavy equipment operator. He was proud to operate the largest dozer that Caterpillar made, a D-11.

He enjoyed fishing, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. lie was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1973 and was baptized into the Christian Church in 1974. He married Loretta J. Hawkins on September 21, 1964, in Oklahoma and the couple had three sons, Kevin, Mitchell and Nathan. He also raised a step-daughter, Debra.

Survivors include his wife, sons and their wives, stepdaughter, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, mother and a multitude of friends he has made within the towns of Rock Springs and Kaycee, as well as Foster and Lowry City, Mo. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. Clarence Yorges GILLEITE Funeral services for longtime Gillette resident, Clara B. Matheson, 77, will be held On Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev.

Peggy Cooper officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Pisgah Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at WilsonNoecker Funeral Home.

Mrs. Matheson died May 4, 1997, at Pioneer Manor Nursing Home as a result of cancer. She was born July 22, 1919, in Bertha, to Daniel and Katherine (Hart) Canoy. She attended country school in Bertha until she moved with her family to Moorcroft in the early 1930s. She attended Moorcroft schools and graduated from Campbell County High School in 1940.

She married Leonard Matheson on June 16, 1941, in Ilardin, Mont. They lived in the area where she was mainly a homemaker. She was a member of the Jewel Rebekah Lodge and the First Presbyterian Church. She loved gardening and working in her yard and took a lot of pride in both. She loved meeting people and spending time with family.

She always had a good sense of humor. Survivors include two sons, Delbert Matheson of Gillette and Robert Matheson of Loveland, two daughters, Billie Arguello of Amalia, N.M., and Tina Harris of Gillette; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a brother, Albert "Bill" Canoy of Walls, and two sisters, Valma Blossom of Gillette and Edna Simpson of Loveland, Colo. Kenneth Doyle Harbison LOVELL Funeral services for Elva Workman Anderson, 81, will he held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Lovell LDS Stake Center with interment in the Lovell Cemetery. Mrs.

Anderson died May 2, 1997, at her daughter's home in Frannie after a long illness. She was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Lovell, to Lorenzo and Leah Workman. She worked beside her father on numerous homesteads in the Big Horn Basin and received her schooling in the Kane and Lovell area. While living in Kane, she met 13uryl K.

"Buck" Bonar and they were married on March 26, 1934, in Red Lodge, Mont. They were blessed with five children and were later divorced. Some time later, she married Frank Anderson in Red Lodge and they had three children. That marriage also ended in divorce. She moved to Thermopolis, where she was employed by Empire Oil Refinery as head custodian.

She also cleaned the Masonic Hall and many local businesses and homes, by those means providing for her children. While living in Thermopolis, her parents shared a home with her and helped her and her children. After her father's death, her mother continued to live and work with her for many years before her mother moved back to Lovell. Mrs. Anderson retired after 20 years of service to the refinery because of failing health.

At that time, she moved to Denver, where she lived with her son, Elvin and his family for two years. She and her daughter, Leah, then returned to Thermopolis until their move to Frannie in 1984, where she was cared for by Leah. She spent a few years in Casper with her granddaughter and then returned to Frannie. As a youth, she broke horses for which she had a natural talent. She was a fun-loving person.

She loved to sing and was an excellent. dancer, her favorite dance was the Charleston. She was an excellent cook. Rex II. Canfield CASPER A memorial service for Rex 11.

Canfield, 77, will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m at Memorial Chapel WHEATLAND Graveside services for Clarence Yorges, 84, will be held today at 10 a.m. at Fort Laramie Cemetery with Rick Carroll officiating. Mr. Yorges died at Platte County Memorial Hospital on May 5, 1997. He was born May 5, 1913, in Eustis, the son of Henry and Christina (Moritz) Yorges.

When he was 5, the family moved to Yoder and he attended the Miller Country School in that area. After graduating from the eighth grade, he farmed with his father and then remained on the farm after his parents moved to Torrington. He married Lenna "Pete" Cross on June 14, 1969, in Lingle and they farmed at Lander and Pavillion before moving to Wheatland in 1976. He was an avid gardener and shared his bounty with many friends and family. He also was a great fisherman and hunter of big game and birds.

Survivors include his wife, sons Ralph and Donald, all of Wheatland and James of Lander; twin sister, Clara Brown of Hudson, a daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Kenneth. Memorial gifts to the Leukemia Foundation would be appreciated by the family. The Colyer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. FORT BRIDGER Memorial services for Kenneth Doyle Harbison, 74, will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m.

at the Fort Bridger American Legion Hall. Mr. Harbison died May 4, 1997, at Rocky Mountain Care Center in Evanston. He was born Oct. 1, 1922, in Oakland City, Ind.
