News Notes From Bunker Hill Air Base 5 By CAROLYN BANNON Sodality Meeting at Base Is Scheduled for Thursday BUNKER HILL AFB The monthly meeting of Our Lady Queen of Peace Sodality will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the chapel annex on the base. Mass will precede the business meeting. A white elephant sale will.be featured, with the proceeds going toward defraying cost of sending clothing to Appalachia. the business session there will be a vote taken on the membership amendment proposed at the last meeting of the organization.

All ladies of the parish are urged to attend. AEMS Wives Meet Children between two and 12 were the topic of a talk given at the last monthly coffee of the AEMS Wives. Capt. William Haitnett, base hospital pediatrician, was speaker for the program. Newcomers welcomed were Mesdames Drexel King, Glen Lober and Albert Aukatis.

Mrs. John Hawkins and Mrs. Gerald Roller received awards for the evening's activities. Hostesesses were Mesdames Dean Lewis, Paul Jackson and Richard Klaus. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, March 15; Mesdames Charles Smith, Matt May, Richard Gunkel, Claytus Bretz, Charles Adams and Alexander Hydak.

Mrs. Vincent Mack will be in charge of the next ooffee, which is scheduled for 10.a.m. March 12. Free nursery service is provided for mothers attending the Family Services meetings. 'Family Services Eugene Porter was in charge of the last coffee this group held.

Mrs. Donald Hatfield was honored as the mysterious volunteer for the month of January. Volunteer of the month was Mrs. John McNown. She received a silver charm bracelet with an engraved disc.

Mrs. Hatfield received the centerpiece as her gift. Receiving three month pins were Mesdames Earnest Belcher, Robert Reynolds, Anthony Varise, Mitchell Williford, Harry Winkleman, Frederick Koch, Donald Hatfield, John McNown, David Weir, Holly Bartlett and Glenn Barker. Thirty-seven woman attended the session, including seven prospective members. They were FREE! The program was opened by roup hymn singing, and a devotional story by Mrs. Robert Melton. Chaplain Clarence G. Robert Melton, welfare chairman, said birthday cards and gifts will continue to be given to residents in the local nursing homes and homes.
