"The Inner Circle," Andrei Konchalovsky's broadly conceived but effective portrait of Stalin's suicidally loyal projectionist (well-played by Tom Hulce), turns up July 15, along with Lizzie Borden's ambitious but underwritten and miscast "Love. Crimes," starring Sean Young as a district attorney who's obsessed with an abuser of women (Patrick Bergin). A strong candidate for worst film of 1992, Bobcat Goldth-waite's repulsive comedy, "Shakes the Clown," arrives the same day.
