Karen and Kenny Kania. Jimmy Taterka, Ricky Kalisik, Marsha and Audrey, Mary. Alice and Hichie Petrus and Douglas' sisters. Cindy and Lisa, joining in on the party games. The children enjoyed a clown birthday cake and Ice cream and other party treats.

A family party was held in the Junior Frank Leider home that evening with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs, Walter Kukulka of Wood Dale, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Leider Sr. of Bensenville, the John Toterkas also of Bensenville and the Tom Mushongs and children.

Perri Ann, Vickie Sue and Lori Gay. Get well wishes ore sent to Mary Scholl who underwent surgery in Memorial Hospital two weeks ago. Mary's friends and neighbors wish her a speedy tecovery. JERRY AND JEAN Isakson went to the Itasea Ranchettes Trpasure Hunt a week ago Saturday with Bob and Bernie Vehrs of Itasca. One of the more unusual clue locations was an "Alice in Wonderland" spot where the hunters had to crawl through a hole and were given tea cakes by someone dressed as Alice.

The hunters had a buffet supper at Phil and Millie's after the hunt. Happy wishes are sent to Mr. and Mrs. Redmond McCarthy who celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary this week. Marge and Margaret Burton saw "Hello Dolly." starring Carol Channing.

A dinner party was held in the Sheehan home for 20 family members and friends. JIMM1E AND SfK Borowvc- zyk and children, twins Jlmmle and Jennifer and John and Sue parents. Peter and Sue Martyniuk. had their annual outing at Brookfield Zoo on Mothers Day. After breakfast together, they visited the zoo and then had dinner out.

The Paxsons celebrated their anniversary Wednesday by dining at Kirie's Restaurant. The Vincent Scalzos celebrated Mothers Day by having their grandmother, Mrs. Theresa La- clvfta of Chicago, for dinner on Sunday.

Dorothy and Henry Fritzler and children Bob, arilyn and Patty spent Saturday evening with Henry's mother. Mrs. Mary Fritzler in Chicago, in celebration of Mothers Day. On Sunday the Fritzlers spent the day with Dorothy's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Matthews in Chicago.

Nancy Bernacki received her First Holy Communion in Holy Ghost Church in Wood Dale on May 1. Nancy's parents, the Ed Bernackis, honored Nancy with a family party. Present were her grandparents, the Franklin McManises, great-grandmother, Cora Peacock of Wood Dale, an aunt and uncle, Jean and Jerry Isakson, and godparents, Alice and Fred Friedl. Friends of 2-year-old Elaine Hoskins hope she is recovering and feeling better after the accident last Friday which caused injury to her left hand and fingers. Helen Butler of Mohawk Drive was honored at a birthday party on her birthday May 4.

On hand to share the cake, ice cream and good wishes were friends from a card club and neighbors, Lorraine Tomassoni and Lil Owens, as well as her daughter. Betty Skau. Tim Patton, son of the Tom Pattons of Orchard Street, celebrated his third birthday last Thursday with cake and ice cream for cousins, David, Susie and Billy Hacrr. and Tim's brothers and sister, Robert, Jeffrey and MaryAnn. Harold and Lavcrne Hedocn had as dinner guests on Mothers Day, Laverne's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Johnson.

It was a double celebration since the occasion also marked the birthday of Mrs. Elizabeth Johnson. Gary Skau celebrated his eighth birthday Saturday with a party in the Harry Skau home on Brookwood with Bill and Ethel Numson and sons, Wayne and Paul, Marie Larson, Robert and Betty Gruber and daughters, Karen and Kathy. On Sunday Gary was honored again in the home of his grandparents, the Gil Butlers of Mohawk Drive, whore they celebrated Mothers Day, Gary's and grandmother Helen's recent birthdays. Danny Freas received his First Holy Communion Mothers Day. A buffet supper honored Danny and 20 friends were on hand. Danny's grandmother, Mrs. Irene Ganski was here on a week's visit. Mrs.

Ganski will return to her Dearborn, Midi, home this week. Henry and Delores Bronars and children spent Saturday in Milwaukee visiting places of interest. Their first stop was at the Mitchell Park Conservatory which is magnificent in scope and design. There are three huge geodesic domes and its two completed domes house many exotic and beautiful plants. Their next stop was the Schlitz Brewery where the Bronars saw the process by which beer is brewed and canned.

An afternoon in the new Milwaukee County Zoo was most interesting. It is modern in concept and its aviary has many birds which are not caged. Milwaukee has built a War Memorial of steel, concrete and glass which overlooks Lake Michigan. This building featured an Art Exhibit at the time. After driving through Mrs.

Grace Jacobs, her son, Michael, who has been in amphibious training at Norfolk and is now in the Reserves, and Donise Jacobs arc recent newcomers, who have moved into their residence at Lake and First Streets. The Rev. Harlcy Kopitske was guest speaker in the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Addison on Mother's Day. He will be at Waukegan next Sunday.

On May 27 he will get his B.A. degree at Concordia Teachers College at River Forest. Mrs. Raymond Bender entertained her pinochle club on Tuesday evening. Awards in the games "went to Mrs.

Gussie Lu- ebbcrs, Mrs. Amanda Kroegcr and Miss Beatrice Broker. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Koschak and children, Susan, Steven and Jeff, attended the Mother's Day Open House held at Milwaukee, where their daughter, Janice, attends the University of Wisconsin, and mother was a special guest.

SATURDAY Miss Rose Satek was the winner of a Shetland pony which, after being tied to a tree on the grounds, got loose and leisurely strolled down Bloomingdale Road looking for company to the astonishment of the motorists, Since it is very tame, it answered a call and was tied to another tree until Helen came to the rescue. On Sunday the new owners came to get it and some small children will always remember this Mother's Day. Mrs. Wm. F.

Thiemaim LAwrance 9-5331 News About Roselle Pvt. James Olesuk of W. Bryn Mawr Avenue left Wednesday for his new assignment with the U. S. Marines at El Toro AFB, Calif.

He spent a 20-day furlough with his parents, the Frank Ole- suks. and his younger brother, Fred, after completing his basic training on the West Coast at a Pendleton, Calif. His brother Dan, stationed with the army in the Canal Zone, recently was promoted to Specialist Fourth Class. Friends hear former residents, Mrs. Carl Mellquist and family, that they are really enjoying their new home in Treasure Island near St.

Gas convention held in the Conrad Hilton Hotel in Chicago this past week. Mr. Bass is the son of the senior James Bass, Republican from the 37th District. Mr. and Mrs.

John F. Oberhart received the news of the arrival of their third grandchild when Dawn Marie was born on April 23rd to Dale and Pat Splinter of Duluth, Minn. GET WELL quick wishes go to Mrs. Lucille Krumwicdc and Mrs. Ella a Mrs.

Krumwicde has returned home from the Elmhurst Memorial Hospital where she underwent gall bladder surgery three weeks ago. Mrs. Segesman is confined with a heart condition. Mrs. Louise Bieber and Mrs.

Catherine Reindl have returned from visits with relatives and friends from Olivehurst, Marysville, and Sacramento, and also took sightseeing trips. En route they visited in states from Missouri to the West Coast and encountered some very bad sand storms. They traveled over 6,000 miles during the six week trip and said they were glad to be back. Miss Michelle DeLaHunt was guest of honor Wednesday evening at a miscellaneous bridal shower in the Edward Banks' home. The hostesses were her two aunts, Mrs.

Edith Benson of Batavia and Mrs. Elsie Banks of Bloomingdale. Mr. and Mrs. Emil Zarndt and family attended services at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Batavia Mother's Day.

Lorraine Tokarz attended a bridal shower for Brentwood resident, Joanne Vergo, Sunday afternoon at the Belvidere Restaurant in Chicago. About 100 family members and friends were present. Joanne will be married to Johnny Meyers on June 18. Joan O'Brien was elated last weekend to see her brother, Peter Hart, and his new bride, Alta, who flew in from Travis A.F.B., Calif.

This was the first time the family had met Alta so there were many family visits and get-togethers. Tim and a O'Brien and Peter and Alta spent Saturday evening together and the Harts returned for a short visit on Sunday when they attended the May Crowning in St. Charles Church. The Harts flew back to California on Monday and Peter will be leaving soon for a year's stay in Thailand. EDDIE AND Michael Riley celebrated their birthdays a day apart.

Eddie had his eighth birthday after with friends at an indoor party, due to the rain on that Wednesday. the Bill Merricks, in their Chicago home. The Ed Hynes family not only celebrated Mother's Day but also Ed's birthday. Ed's parents, the Al Hynes, were dinner guests and saw movies of their recent trip to Texas ond Mexico. There were movies of the recent wedding of Al Hynes, Ed's brother.

Carol especially enjoyed them since she couldn't attend the wedding. Greg Harligan, after enjoying dinner witti the family on Wednesday evening, left for Florida Thursday morning. Greg will drive his Honda to Pensacola, where he will be stationed while attending school. Art and Winnie Koopman and children Marilyn, Bobby and Jim spent Uuee days, a week ago, camping and visiting 'in Springfield. This was the boys' first trip to Springfield and they toured the Capitol Building and New Salem. The Koopmans camped near the New Salem area.

On Mother's Day the Koopmans visited Art's parents, was served an individual birthday cake. His guests were Ted Kalloway, Ronnie Anselmo, Ronnie Landeck and two of his grandparents, Alfred Meyers and Mrs. Ruth Boeldt. On Wednesday, Johnnie was honored at a dinner for relatives in his home. Good wishes go to Mrs.

Clarence Hill, who is able to be up and around a little now after recent major surgery. A double celebration was enjoyed in the John Thomas home on Sunday, since it was. both Mothers Day and Mrs. Thomas' birthday. The family came home to visit, but there was no working and dinner out was the order of the day.

The Homemakers Bowling League held its annual banquet at the Indian Lakes Country Club in Bloomingdale on Thursday evening. Camille Mormino and their grandmother, Mary Mormino, at dinner on Mother's Don and Judy Roberts recently returned from a 10-day- trip to Palm Springs, Calif. Don won the trip for two as top salesman for Continental Assurance. The Roberts spent five days in Palm Springs and stayed at the El Mirador Hotel which providvxl ail sorts of recreational facilities, including golfing, swimming and tennis. The Roberts preferred swimming in the morning because by afternoon the temperature soared to 100 degrees. They did get a bit burned even though they were careful.

Don and Judy drove to Valinda, to visit with Judy's cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Hank Rombeck, and spent two days with them. A highlight of this trip was a tour of Universal City where the Roberts a sets of McHales Navy and the Munsters, which delighted the Roberts daughters. Don and Judy found the train trip out to the West Coast relaxing and enjoyable.

Jill and Dawn Roberts were cared for by their maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Shearer. The Roberts returned tanned, relaxed and with pleasant memories. FLORINE Ballard and her daughter, Lisa, spent a week visiting in Paris, 111., as a houseguest of Florine's brother, John Murphy.

Robert a Alice Williams celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary a week ago Saturday with a party for 80 guests. (B Hansen Found Innocent of Assault Charge Wood Dale Donald Hansen, 453 Oak, Wood Dale, was found innocent on a charge of assault and battery of a neighbor's children when he appeared in DuPage Magistrate Court before a jury last Thursday.

The complaint had been signed against Hansen in July of 1965 by Mrs. Robert Mpriarty of 449 N. Oak. She claimed Hansen had done bodily harm to her two small children. The trial was conducted in the courtroom of Judge Leroy Rech- I A fishing in Wisconsin this week.
