Talk of the Town Arlene Cyrier LAwrence 9-1795 Dorothy Slcher TWinbrook 4-6913 Netter TWinbrook 4-6517 Mittie and Mark Dick of Basswood Lane were Saturday hosts at a "Williamsburg" par ty for friends from Western Springs and LaGrange. Mittie explains that a "Williamsburg" party is an idea generated on their vacation trip when the family enioycd an Early American luncheon in the King's Arms Tavern in Williamsburg, Va. She prepares the foods served there and introduces games played in i days for the entertainment of the guests. Mittie, who teaches at Our Saviour Methodist kindergarten, has been asked by parents whether she is running, a school of a zoo. The classes boast 60 children, an aquarium full of fish, several guinea pigs, a chicken named Mellody, and a parakeet, Terry, plus occasional animal visitors.

A project engaged in by the two classes last week was the manufacture of ice cream with a manual freezer. For most of children it new" experience. was a totally AN rtUSUAL EVENING out for Pelt and Frank Lemcke last Saturday was an authentic smorgasbord i served aboard a Swedish freighter anchored in Calumet Harbor. Other activities around the Lemcke home on Bluebonnet Lane include a visit by Frank's parents, the senior Frank Lem- ckes of Dunedin, wjio traveled eastward after their stay here to see, two daughters in Garden City, N. Y.

Pat's mother, Mrs. Percival Trudeau of Carnation Court, spent her vacation in the east visiting with another daughter and family, the Alfred Parrotts, in Port Washington, N. Y. The Parrotts returned with MFS. Trudeau for a brief reunion with the Lemcke family.

ROBERTA STEUERT of Wilmette, a young friend of Erika and Harry. Grover of Hawthorn Lane, has many local acquaintances because of her frequent visits here. She is being seen on a Channel 5 television show, "The Wee One's World," each Sunday at 8 a.m. An important event for the Len Browarks of Des Plaines Lane was the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for Sandy's parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Peter Barys, Sept. 13 in Apple Orchard Country Club. The Barys, who have been residents of Hawaii for the past four years, returned to the mainland for the celebration and for a visit with Sandy's family and those of her two brothers, Eddie Barys of Wilmette and Frank Barys, Skokie. The 50 guests extended wishes for the couple's happiness in their next home in Phoenix. ANNIVERSARY wishes are also in order for Addie and Fred Luft of Des Plaines Lane, who Playing bridge Saturday night marked their 13th Satorday by dining in Simonetti's.

The Lufts are still thinking with longing about their late summer vacation in the Ozarks, when they stayei at an inn owned by Addie's sister at Bull Shoals Lake, near Theodosia, Mo. A Saturday night out for Marilyn and Cal Weinberg of Mohave Street and friends took them' to a new restaurant, "The Flame," in Villa Park. Among the newcomers being welcomed to. the village are Carol and Jerry Peterson and sons, Jeffrey and Steven, who came from Hillside to live in the 121 Illinois Blvd. home formerly occupied by Velma and Richard Peters.

The Kendler family replaces the Bergsteins on Mohave Street now that the latter have gone to West Virginia, where Herbert has accepted a professorship. New neighbors at 105 Flagstaff Lane are Sylvia and Pasquale Coffaro and children. A Hoffman Estates welcome is extended to them. THE PFEIFFERS of Batavia are spending a few weeks with Dorothy's mother, Mrs. Doris Wolsey, visiting here from Carmel, Calif.

They all went to Terre Haute for the 'weekend to visit Dorothy's uncle, with whom Mrs. Wolsey will stay for a few days. To add to the excitement Marge Wolsey, Dorothy's sister, is flying in from New York for the weekend, Through it all, Fred is busy learning lines for his part in the Guild Players' first production of the season, "Third Best Sport." Last week the gals Who spent the summer hitting that "little white ball" around Acres held their award luncheon, featuring a buffet and prizes for all. Mrs. Clara Gerkd was c' ed president again and plans were made for a "bigger and better year next season." The woman's golf league sponsored a two-ball foursome last Sunday at the same country club between members and their husbands.

Bill Koppari, after having won the booby prize two years in a row as "nosed out" this year another couple. HOME FROM A trip around Lake Michigan and into the upper peninsula are the Harry Lamberts. A speedy recovery is wished to Vi' Sander, recuperating after surgery in Sherman Hospital this week. Another Hpffmanite spending a few days in Sherman Hospital is Audrey Knapp, who gave birth to a daughter Carrie Jean, weighed in at 8 pounds 2 ounces. At home Bud is busy passing out cigars and "taking bows." in the home of Anita and Richard Procido were Barb and Scott MacEachrdn.

Bill and Mona Bailey of Apache Lane were guests at the Schonekers for a farewell party and bridge Saturday night. The Plesners, Doris and Brice, are leaving for their new home in Butte, Mont. The first game "of the newly- formed football team, the Commandos, followed by the Hoffman Raiders game in Chicago, brought out a number of ents and other rooters Sunday afternoon. The day did not go the way the fans hoped it would, teams "biting the (H with both dust." MEETING at the 206 Payson Street home of William and Mary Price last Saturday were Gnicndemans, William enkers, Frank Gascons, the Roy Sipus- iches, Ron Prusinskis and the Joe Haegers for their once a month pinochle club. Most of the couples are Hoffman residents.

Liz Ryan was. hostess to another once a month get-together in the form of a "hen" party. Gloria Hartun, June Nudd, Eleanor Fahey, Winnie Verzi, Maria Tommiselli and Terry Nihil met at the Ryans 174 Payson St. home. In the city Sunday afternoon was Elaine Moore who attended the surprise wedding shower for Miss Dee Dee Zeluts.

The affair, which included more than 100 women, was held at Petric- cas Restaurant in Chicago. Dining out Sunday afternoon at the Chicago home of Mrs. Catherine Meyer were Western Street residents Bob and Sally Moriarty and their children, Nancy, Kevin, Joanne and Mike. THE ALEX Hway's 106 Maywood, have seen little of their home in the past couple of weeks. On their busy agenda was a birthday party honoring Mrs.

Hway's brother, Father Eugene Grainer. They also attended the wedding recently of FT. Grainer officiated. Sunday the couple, accompanied by their daughter, Joanne, were among the 25 relatives that gathered at the Rolling Meadows home of Gerry and Tony Mercuric for a family The Robert Hoppes of Perry Lane observed their 10th wedding anniversary Sept. 4, but celebrated a few weeks later at the Rick Casares Restaurant in Buffalo, Grove.

Dinner guests at the Western Street home of Carolyn and Bud Edmondson were Bert and Jean Berglund of Downers Grove. The Edmondsons' daughter, Kathy, was among the Scout group spending Saturday night at Camp Pine. Getting together recently for a few hands of bridge at the Robert Burke home on Milton Street were Larry and Ann Wei- ton. Ed and Arlene Cyrier and John and Jan Reitmeier drove into Chicago Saturday evening for an informal evening of card playing at the home of Merrilee and Larry O'Reilley. and Mrs. Ray Renslow, were all set to give the vacationers a rousing homecoming. Anniversary congratulations go to Pat and Ernie Wurm, 275 Dennison, who celebrated on Sept. 18. ALSO MARKING a wedding last week were Joan and Lennie Augustine, 199 Gentry Road, The couple celebrated with a night on-the-town, including a movie, "Circus World," and dinner at The Pit on Rush Street.

They were accompanied by Ellen and Bill PardeU of Highland Blvd. On the sadder side, Joan's grandmother, Mrs. Harriet Vallee, died last week and Joan and Lennie attended the funeral service held at Mat; Funeral Chapel, Chicago. and Ethel Martin, 192 Gentry Road, were hosts over the weekend to Ethel's aunts, Vida Jansen of Amarillo, and Dora Martin and Linda Damerson, both of Des Plaines.
