Katherlne Palmer, Dorene Pearce and Jeannette Kcbble from Bensenville boarded a Greyhound bus In Chicago Sunday with 35 other Rain bow Girls from this area to ride to Miami, to attend the Supreme Assembly of Rainbow Girls. At Chattanooga. another chartered bus with Illinois girls joined the group.

Though feeling much better, Mr, Johnson will have to take things easy for a while. Mrs. Johnson's mother, Mrs. Beggs, 92, who makes her home with the Johnsons in West Chicago has been seriously ill. Joan Lucas and David Reichert, students at the University of Arizona at Tucson, are spending a few days in the home of Joan's parents, Mr.

and Mrs. Henry Lucas of Wood st. Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Marynlak of Park st.

were called to Mercy hospital, Davenport, Iowa, over the weekend when their son-in-law, Harold Joyce, formerly of Bensenville, was seriously hurt in an automobile accident Saturday evening. Joyce, an employee of the Ford Motor co. in Muscatine, Iowa, was on his way to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to call on a customer when the accident happened. He has been unconscious and cannot be moved or operated on to find out the extent of his injuries. Mr.

Joyce Is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Joyce of Bensenville. He has a brother, Charles, living in Joplln, Mo. and a.

sister, Virginia, who is In the Air Force at Lackland, Texas. She was flown to Davenport immediately on hearing the news of the accident. Mrs. Joyce Is the former Betty Marynlak of Bensenville. They have three daughters, Judy, Joni and Jeannie, and live in Bettcn- dorf, Iowa.

MR. AND MRS. Vern Johnson of Second ave. attended a family camp-out of the Omaha tribe of Indian Guides held at White Pines State park last weekend. On the way home Sunday they stopped in Rock' ford to attend a Johnson family reunion.

Many friends and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schmidt on S. May st. Sunday at a farewell party for son, Ray, who left for army duty Wednesday morning.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Philben and sons, Michael and Philip, are home after spending 10 days at Lac du Flambeau, Wis. Mr. and Mrs.

Walter A. Nealey, pre siding minister of the Bensenville congregation, stated that approximately 65 delegates from the Bensenville area will attend the Detroit convention. The conference, one of 11 "Peace District Assemblies being held throughoul the United States this summer, is sponsored by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Sowiety, Brooklyn, New York. Huffman, will present its annual concert in Wilder park Wednesday, July 20 at 8:15 p.m. Featured numbers at the concert will be "II Guarany" by A. Carlos Gomez.

Then Carol and Mary Ann flew to Europe where they hope to spend several months touring the continent. Mrs. August Reitz enjoyed her 73rd birthday which she observed July 7. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krumwiede and their son, Craig, of McHenry, and their son, Gary, who is stationed at the Marine Base at Quantico, and other relatives helped brighten the occasion for her at a lawn party held at the home of Mr.

To conclude the concert will be the popular dixieland band with Johnny Warrington's arrangement of "Hollywood Jamboree." The public is welcome to attend.
