He received second and third degree burns, and it is not certain whether or not his eye sight can be saved.

Linda May Wright of Barrington spent Wednesday at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Delton Wright, Quentins rd. The occasion was Linda's second birthday, and her grandmother had a birthday cake with all the trimmings for her. Bob Nordin, son of Mr.

and Mrs. Lorr W. Nordin, Quentins is taking his vacation with us aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. F.

O'Donnell, in St. Joseph. Mich. He will travel on the "City of Grand Rapids," on which his uncle is first mate. His older brother, Ronald, is patrolman on the same boat.

Mrs. Peter Anderson Palatine Mrs. Betty Harless of Bryant and Brockway attended the funeral services far her girl hood Miss Delia Grobner, in Chicago Wednesday. Miss Grobner passed away August 5. She is the sister of Frank Grobner of Mclntosh real estate offices.

Neal of Indianapolis, as her house guest for a few weeks. Joan Horky, Coolidge came home Wednesday evening. She has been visiting all summer with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. William Reid, in Pleasant Hill, Mo.

Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Dougherty of Miami, Fla, are spending some time in the Chicago area.

Chester Martin and son, Wesley, Old Northwest Highway, entertained at family Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Gallimore, Sr. Harris and Cornell, are home again after a vacation cf ten days spent with their son and family, the Ralph C. Galli- rnores, in Eddyville, 111.

Mr. Gallimore particularly enjoyed the homecoming held at the church nearby, on the last Sunday of their stay. He spent his boyhood in Eddyville, and saw many old friends at the homecoming that he hadn't seen in years. Their son, David, who had been vacationing there for several weeks, returned home with them. received word Saturday that Tuesday.

and Mrs. Les Waters and Rickey and Lenore, all of Chicago. His cousin, Rickey, remained here for the week, and the boys are having lots of fun together. Bruce Nesser, Woodland spent a couple of days with his cousins, Donald and Billy Pearson, in Chicago last week. Among other things, the boys enjoyed a tour of the Schwin bicycle plant.
