and Mrs. L. H. Hedstrom ol Roselle, was united in marriage to Arthui Sanderson, Boatswains Mate Ic, by the Rev. Marlaii Rayburn, front ol the family Christmas tree and among holiday trimmings.

The biide wore a gown of white silk not with a velvet bodice Her finger tip veil WHS held in place with a pearl orange blossom tiara. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and pomsettias. Her only tendant was Miss Ellen Bowler of Granite City who wore a white gown trimmed in plaid. She carried white and bronze chrysanthemums. The bride's brothei, Robert Hedstrom, served as best man.

A reception for 50 relatives and friends at the bride's home, followed the ceremony. A Swedish Smorgasbord was served. Out of town guests attended from Salina, Kansaft Gladstone, Michigan, and Chicago Mr and Mrs. H. Hedstrom and family attended the wedding of their son, Robert E.

to Miss Ellen Bowler at the 3rd Baptist Church at Granite City, 111., on New Year's eve. The Misses Jean and Joan Hedstrom, twin sisters of the groom, acted as bridesmaids. Arthut Sanderson, the groom's biother-in-lnw, also served in the bridal paity. The Hour of CHarm to be presented by the Patricia Stevens School of Modeling, will be the maift feature at the January meeting of the Itasca Woman's Club next Tuesday, January 8, 1:30 p. at the Village Hall.

In addition to an interesting speaker there will be a slide film shown entitled "Loveliness Members and guests are urged to attend what promises to be a most enjoyable program. Ulysses S. Baker returned to lis home Christmas day from Slmhurst hospital where he had undergone surgical care- The Blind Boys Scout Troop No. 300 of Chicago, will be guests of the Itasca Men's Chns- Forum on Sunday, January 13. One of the boys will bring with him his seeing eye dog.

This is the only Blind Scout Troop in world. Plans are being made entertain these boys that af- iernoon and it is hoped that our local boys and Cubs will keep date in mind. The guest will appear at the corum meeting in the village hall at 8 s. m. that evening which represents the regular January meeting of the Forum.

Miss Gail Babbs spent Saturday to Tuesday with relatives and friends at Effmgham and Altamont, 111. Shirley Olsen weds Marvin Fasse Dec. 29 Miss Shirley Lorraine Olsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Olscn, Bloomingdale, became the bride of Marvin F.

Fasse, son of Mi and Mrs, Louis Fasse, Roselle, at 4:30 p. m. last Saturday, December 29 at a double ring ceremony in Trinity Lutheran churdh ol Roselle. The Rev. Walter Mehlberg officiated The bridal party took their places in frunt of the altar, to the strains of the budal chorus from Lohengrin played by A.

Binneboesc. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown and a fingertop veil held in place with an orange blossom tiara. She carried a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and gladiolus. Her only jewelry was a strand pearl' necklace which was a gift from the groom. Miss Bcttc Rathe, who served her friend as maid of honor, wore a powder blue' chiffon dress and curried a bouquet of salmon gladiolus The bridesmaids, the bride's sister, Ailene, and the groom's sister Lorraine, wore biocaded net dresses in yellow and pink, respectively, carrying bouquets of gladiolus of harmonizing colors.

All three attendants wore similar blushers of net. The flower giil, Janice Mae Haberkamp, the groom's niece, wore pink taffeta with a matching net blusher, Russell Krueger, the groom's cousin, acted as best man. At tendants were the bride's brother, Edward and the groom's friend, Robert Dierker of Elgin. John Olsen and Willard Haberkamp served as assistant ushers to the gloom's attendants. Both the bride's and the groom's mothers wore fuchsia di esses with a corsage of white mums.

Dr O. Kirsch of Roselle rendered two vocal solos, "The Lord's Prayer" and Perfect Love''. Following the ceremony a reception for 150 guests was held at. Woodman Hall in Elgin A buffet supper was served. Music for entertainment 1 was furnished by George Roscnwinkel's orchestra of which the groom is a member, The young couple received many beautiful gifts.

After a short honeymoon they will make their home in Roselle. Miss, Ernestine Graf ton of Richmond, spent the New Year holiday with her brother and wife, Rev. F. Louis; and Mrs Grafton. Miss Grafton is State Librarian of Virginia.

Pvt. Kenneth Russell of Scott Field, Belleville, 111., has been spending a 15 day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Russell and family. Ken had been hospitalized at Scott Field the past five weeks following an accident playing football in which he sustained a compound fracture, of the law bone.

Jesse F. Beaver, our village mayor, is enjoying a few days this week end with his parents, Mr- and Mrs. Henry Beaver at Danville. Commander Edmund H. Drceg- emueller received his honorable discharge Saturday at Great Lakes.

Dr. Dioegemucller has been in the navy three years having been in the Pacific and South Sea Islands. After a brief visit with his mother, Mrs. Louise Droegemueller, he departed for California Sunday evening where where he will meet his wife and return via auto to Elmhurst where after the 1st of February the Dr. will again resume his profession.
