First Woman Governor Faces New Problems By AIJXE CARTER of The Journal Pondering student unrest in an Ivory Tower will be a new experience for Dr. Margaret Beznak but it holds no terrors for her. "I must not comment on our University of Ottawa troubles but you realize, of course, that student unrest exists all over the world." Dr. Beznak is the first woman elected to the University of Ottawa's board of governors. She has been a a member of the university senate for some time and was elected to that post by the medical faculty.

In turn the senate elected her to the new post. She said in an interview. Thursday in her office, that the board of governors and its problems would be a new experience. Student unrest would be new to her too. "I am used to young, earnest, serious medical students.

Although I have no children I really like young people." she said. Dr. Beznak is chairman of the physiology department. She inherited the position in 1959 a year after her husband Dr. Aladar Beznak SATURDAY NIGHT DANCE WITH AX ORCHESTRA IN ATTENDANCE NOVEMBER 23rd FROM 9 12 MIDNIGHT AT 127 METCALFE TREMENDOUS OPPORTUNITY TO MEET NEW ACQUAINTANCES A Weekly Event Hosted by the Georgian Club died.

Graduates of the University of Budapest they went to the University of Birmingham in 1948 and were invited to join the University of Ottawa where Dr. Aladar became chairman of the physiology department. Margaret Beznak has had a long love affair with Canada. "I have travelled from coast to coast and even seen the Arctic Canada is such fascinating country," she said with enthusiasm.
