The outpatient departments are especially geared to this investigation and treatment. Beds have already been planned in the hospital for psychiatric investigation and care, but, course, these can only be used on a relatively short term basis, e.g two to three weeks. Long-term inpatient facilities for the psychiatric care wll be developed the Royal Ottawa The decisions about inpatient psychiatric care have been agreed to by the department of health of the Province of Ontario and the Royal Ottawa Hospital. The hospital will co-operate in any way possible with government and the community.
