Retired Chief Probation Officer GORMAN, John Peter "Jack" 91, of Weymouth, passed away X- I 1 FISHMAN, Esther Deitch Died on June 21, 2016 in Sarasota, FL. Esther was born on July 25, 1922 to Dr. John and Anna (Silver) Deitch in Manchester, NH. She was the loving wife of the late Lloyd Fishman for 49 years.

During the war, Esther worked as a social worker at the Grenier Airbase in Manchester, NH and managed the New Hampshire League of Arts and Crafts shop in Manchester for many years. She was a strong supporter of the arts and artists wherever she lived. She and her husband were homeowners for almost 20 years on the island of St. Lucia where they were lively members of the Castries community where she maintained ties until her recent death. She and Lloyd moved to Sarasota, FL in 1 990.

Goody, as she was called by her family and close friends, was known for her remarkable ability to make connections wherever she was. A wide circle of people, well beyond her own family, were beneficiaries of Goody's exceptional generosity of spirit. She was adored by her daughters Carol Czaja (Ted Wachs) and Barbara Kaufman (Ken); grandchildren Ian Czaja (Katy a), Jason Czaja (Karilynn Thatcher), Rebecca Kaufman (Joe Gould), and Sara Elsasser; great grandchildren Ben, Nikolai, Adeline, Amelia, and Charlotte; and sister, Naida Weisberg. She is re-deceased by her sister Dr. Selma Deitch.

In her memory, donations can be made to Mass Eye and Ear in Boston or Child Health Services in Manchester, NH. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. peacefully at no me on June 4 in the company I of his loving family. Originally from Cam- Priqge, ne was the son of the late Vincent and Helen (Mitchell) Gorman. A proud Navy veteran of World War II and Korea, Jack served aboard DE57 USS Fogg and DD883 USS Perry and served at Guantana-mo Bay as Shore Patrol.

Upon his return, he was employed by Westinghouse for many years as a welder in Boston and Hingham. Jack was predeceased by his loving wife, Alice (McGrath), and his brothers Charles and William. He is survived by his loving son, John Gorman, Jr. of California, sisters; Helen Gorman, Barbara Harris, Elizabeth MacDonald, all of Weymouth, Nancy Gia-trelis of Osterville, and his brother Thomas of Osterville. Jack was the proud godfather of Diane Harris Walker of Weymouth and Cassie Gorman Hung of Virginia and the devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews near and far.

He was dearly loved by all. A celebration of Jack's life will take place at a family reunion on the Cape at the end of June. A memorial Mass will occur at a later date. Donations in Jack's memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of C.

HORRIGAN, Joan Elizabeth Of Newton and West Dennis passed away Saturday June 25, 2016 at the Lasell House Newton at the age of 86. She was born on October 22, 1929 in Cambridge. Daughter of the late Leo and Mary (Monroe) Horrigan. She graduated from Newton High School 1947, Trinity College Washington DC 1951, and received doctorate from Staley College of the Spoken Word, Brookline (notable graduates: James Michael Curley, John F. Kennedy, Dapper O'Neil and master's degree from Radcliffe College 1953.

Devoted brother of John "Jack" Horrigan of Newton. Loving cousin of Frank Horrigan of Bedford, Nancy Horrigan Cro-nan of New Bedford, Patricia Horrigan Pakos of Sudbury and Francis Horrigan of Southwick. Joan taught English at Dartmouth High School, Watertown High School and for 44 years as a Professor of Communication Arts at Framingham State University. At age 76, after a four and a half year battle with ovarian cancer. Beloved wife for 50 years of marriage to Dr.

Bob Kenerson. Ruth was born on February 28, 1 940, the fifth of eight children of Arnold and Ida (Marti) Hauswirth of Gsta-ad, Switzerland. She was educated locally and graduated from the Secondarschule, Saa-nen-Gstaad, and then trained privately as a kindergarten teacher at Chalet Flora School. She also became a certified Bernese Oberland ski instructor, and she taught at the Gsta-ad Ski School and coached the girls' ski team at the Montesa-no School. Ruth came to Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1962 as an au pair and while in Boston met her future husband.

Bob. They married in 1966 in Gstaad and resided in Boston for a short time. She taught at the Park School in Brookline. They took up residence in Winchester, where they have lived until the present time. Ruth loved her volunteer work for the town of Winchester where she was a member of EN KA Society for over 20 years and served as president of the Winchester Garden Club.

In addition, she enjoyed quilting, tennis, golf, her bridge group, her book clubs, cooking with her "gourmet" group and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Many happy hours were spent at the family's second home in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, experiencing the changing seasons, hiking and skiing. She was admired for her quiet dignity, steady patience, warmth, loyalty and her gift with children. In addition to her husband, Ruth is survived by four children and their spouses: Andrea and Kevin Racek of Burlington, Vermont, Dan and Lynn Kenerson of Sugar Hill, New Hampshire, Julie Kenerson and Eric Jerman of Arlington, Massachusetts and Lisa and Lawton Weber of Manapouri, New Zealand. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Olivia and Matisse Racek; Aquene, Dan, and Jed Kenerson; and Jake and Lukas Jerman.

In Switzerland, she was predeceased by her parents and an elder sister, Therese Wyss. She leaves her two sisters, Margrit Reich of Buchs, St.Gallen and Ursula Dorn-bierer of Wolfenschiessen, her four brothers Adolf Hauswirth, Hanskurt Hauswirth, Heini Hauswirth, and Benz Hauswirth, all of Gstaad, her twenty nieces and nephews as well as thirty-nine grandnieces and grandnephews. A family graveside ceremony at the Kenerson plot in the Wild wood Cemetery will be private. A memorial service will take place at the Winchester Unitarian Church in early September followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. (Erzen) 68, of Wellesley passed away on Monday June 27th at the Beaumont nursing home in Natick after battling the late stages of Parkinson's disease for nearly a year. She leaves her husband of 48 years. Earl, and her four children: Stephanie Ohnegian and her husband Scott and their children, Emma, Donald and Charlotte of Glen Rock NJ; Jason Kivett and his wife Nikola and their son Hendrik of Houston; Gavin Kivett and his wife Marissa and their son Tucker-man of Wayland; and Meredith Kivett of Boston. Vickye grew up in Bethalto, Illinois, and attended Civic Memorial High School, where among other things she was president of the student council and editor of the school newspaper, the Eaglet.

She interrupted college to marry longtime classmate. Earl Kivett, and moved to Princeton NJ where she worked in Firestone Library for economics professor and future president of Princeton University, William Bowen. Later, as a resident of NJ, she graduated magna cum laude from Fai Heigh Dickinson niversity. In 1 977 Vickye and Earl moved to the Boston area where he attended business school, and they served as house parents at the Dana Hall School in Wellesley where she also taught English. In Wellesley Vickye became active in her children's schools.

She was PTO president at Hunn ewe 1 1 School and became head of the PTO presidents' council. Later she became president of the Wellesley Education Foundation aneffounded the Bradford Society as a funding source for WEF. She was always active at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Wellesley, first as a Sunday school teacher and then as head of the Service League, where for two years she co-led the annual Bargain Haul fundraiser. In recent years, she'd been active with and thoroughly enjoyed the knitters group.

Also, until she became too ill to participate, Vickye looked forward to her morning workouts with Bitsy Graham's aerobics group. She loved the music and the movement! Vickye also loved to travel. Every other summer she and the family would trek to the Rocky Mountain area for adventure. In alternating years she enjoyed seeing Europe. In 2011 she and Earl visited China for two weeks and spent one week in South Korea with Meri who was there on a Fulbright scholarship.

Vickye enjoyed business travel with Earl, and together they saw the whole country and nearly the whole world. We'll miss her. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 30, 2-4pm and 6-8pm at George F. Doherty St Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington Street (Rt.16), Wellesley. The funeral on Friday will be private.

A lifelong resident of Norwood, Sean graduated from Stonehill College and became a guidance counselor at Med-way Middle School where he enjoyed counseling children.
