(UPI)-Craig Morton sparked a lethargic offense with two touchdown passes Sunday that helped Dallas successfully open its quest for a second straight pro football championship with a 286 victory over Philadelphia. The Cowboys managed to get out of their end of the field only once and had fallen behind 6-0 before Morton, who took over during the pre-season for the injured Roger Staubach, eluded a rush and hit Ron Sellers with a 37-yard touchdown pass with three minutes left in the first half. Calvin Hill, who says his only goal is an injury-free season, and rookie Bob Newhouse then added touchdown runs of three and one yards. Philadelphia quarterback Pete Liske skillfully guided the Eagle offense during the first half, but two drives stalled in Cowboy territory and they resulted only in 30 and 43-yard field goals by Tom Dempsey. Morton overcame the slow start to complete 13 of 26 passes for 235 yards and his two touchdowns. He threw two interceptions, and his longest completion of the day was a 45- to Mike Montgomery.
