A good deal of suspense has been crammed into the telling of the gruesome tale and all the parts are well played, especially those of England by Ivor Kovello in 1928 and later shown in the United States, the British version stayed close to the novel, which in turn was based on a series of actual murders, crimes committed by a killer who escaped detection in spite of the vigilance of Scotland Yard and the constabulary of all London. The original was known as Jack the Ripper and his victims were always prostitutes that canvassed a certain shimmy section of London. In the 20th Century-Fox production, which was ably directed by John Brahm. the killer is finally discovered and escapes the net which John Warwick of Scotland yt si.
