RAY and POLLY are doing all the work themselves and plans are to have it completed before fall.

THE IRVING is working on a Woman's sec tion for an October issue. Theme for the presentation will be Forward to the Club will endeavor to contact every women's club, garden club and church club, and give a brief history of the group, projects planned and outstanding speakers for this programs. We feel that this complete coverage of clubs and activities vull be beneficial to newcomers as well as local women who might like to join clubs in their area. Further information will be given at a later date. In the meantime we will begin contacting clubs.

IT IG! days are almost upon us and the children are well aware of 1 1. Each morning my offspring are staying in bed a little morning it was 1 well remember when school vacation began, the boys were up at 5 to start Manning Son Tours East Benton Manning, son of Mr. and Mrs. James B. Manning, 1826 Colony and his cousin Griffin Lord of Georgetown and Austin, have returned from a trip to the capital and several Eastern states.

They flew to Washington, where they were guests inthe homes of their grandmother, Mrs. I.L. Manning, and their uncle and aunt, Col. and Mrs. G.R.

Peck While in Washington, the boys visited the White House and attended a session of Congress. They spent 10 days seeing points of interest in Washington and then traveled with their aunt and uncle through Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey, where they visited with the son, Cadet Gail Peck, who was en- route from a European tour or the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Shann and Carla Manning, daughters of the James B. Mannings, recently returned home after an extended visit with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.

J.E. McMaster, on their stock farm near Georgetown. The girls were also guests in the home of their uncle and aunt Mr. s. Grogan Lord in Georgetown.

Recent guests in the home of the Mannings here were Mrs. Manning's sister, Mrs. O.C. Schlinke and her children, Emmett and Carmen of San Angelo. They were enroute to pm Lt.

Schlinke in Fort Richardson, Alaska, where he is stationed with die medical corps. the day. MR. AND MRS. JACK BROWN of 1519 Arcady have as house guests MRS.

No no movies. Thank goodness Don Ameche invented the telephone and KLIF started radio. MRS. DICK HORN and children, CHR1ST1ANNE and RICKY, spent the weekend in Brownwood visiting MRS. sister, MRS.

BOB SKIDMORE. Aug. 15 the HORN family spent a vacation in East Texas visiting friends and family. Highlight of their trip was their stay at a lakeside cabin. DICK and RICKY caught 14 fish in one afternoon.

THAT WILL LEARN MONAHAN made a trip to Stephenville last week end to pay a surprise visit to a friend. PAT was home. MR. AND MRS. JACK LAWRENCE, JEAN, KLM and' DAWN are visiting their family in Victoria this week.

Plans are for the family to go on to Mexico from there before they return to Irving. Bill Stanley Given Party Bill Stanley was given a party celebrating his 10th birthday Monday. Guests included Sandy and Larry Julien, Becky. Tommy and Billy Ray Nelson, Sheila and Sharon Hupp. Jackie Anderson, Tina and Kianne Stanley and Gary Castleberry.

Paul Rice in charge of flowers. The table was covered with a net cloth of lavender. Fruit punch and cake squares with green icing were served. The centerpiece was of wh ite stock and lavender asters. Mrs.

J.D. Witherspoon and Mrs. Lois Adams served. In the receiving line were Mrs. Charles Parr, Mrs Tom Chiles, Mrs.

Raymond C. Sherling. A. E. Wilsons In Oklahoma With Mother Mr.

and Mrs. A.E. Wilson, 1818 Briarwood, have been called to the bedside of his mother, Mrs. Essie Games, who is critically ill in a Tulsa hospital. Mrs.

Games, a frequent visitor to Irving, is a member of a pioneer family in the Creek Nation Indian Territory, Oklahoma. Meeting Set For Camp Fire Leaders Assn. The first meeting of the Camp Fire Leaders Assn. will be held Sept. 8 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.
