By that time many delegates to the State Prohi bition convention to be held in the Opera House on Wednesday will have arrived, and will probably participate in the rally. R. E. Hudson, the "Grand Commander of the Prohibition Army of the Blue and the Gray, will preside at the meeting and be master of ceremonies. These will consist of rlve minuto speeches, interspersed with the singing of Prohibition songs.

Ex soldiers are especially invited, but the house will probably bo crowded with men and women who are opposed to the liquor traffic. If Mrs, Lathrop should be present as has been suggested possible it will be worth while to hear her speak. High School Alumni. The president of the Harrisburg High dcuooi iuuram Association has appointed as an executive committee Mr. i).

v. Haramel haugh, Mr. Howard Calder, Miss Grettie Fager, Miss Elfleda Barnes and Miss Gertie Curxon. This committee is empowered to select two membors from each class to assist as a reception committee at the annual reunion, which will very likely be held on June 20th at a place to be selected by the committee. The reunion this year promises to be I unusually interesting.

Iter I.lfo Ended. On Saturday "Dutch Mary" died at the State Lunatic Hospital. Her proper name was Mary Wenzelberger. She was a native of Wurtemburg, Germany, where she visited a year or two before she became insane. She had been an inmate of the hospital for more than six years, one was In her 68th year.

Deceased was the owner of valuable property at rorBtcr and Ureen streets. Drill of tha Invincible. A regular drill of the Republican Invisi bles will be held this evening, and all who desire to become members, whether they can drill regularly or not, at this time should send in their names, as the uniforms and equipments will soon be ordered. Every member should make an effort to be present to night Movement of tke Wheel Club. Captain itourer has determined to have a series of lantern parades, carnivals and races by tho Harrisburg Wheel.

Solemn Pontifical Mtum. Next Saturday morning at 9 o'clock solemn pontifical high mass will be offered up by the Right Rev. Bishop M'Govern for the happy repose of his beloved mother, who died recently at an advanced age. AMUSEMENTS. TAKES FROM LIFE.

Don't fail to see "Taken From Life" at the Opera House this evening. For seenic effects, appointments and excellence of company the presentation will be second to none that has been produced here this season. The explosion in Clerkenwell prison and the ride for life on the race horse "Comet" are great features in themselves. The Fiitts Surg Dispatch says 'It was the unanimous verdict of those present that 'Taken From Life' was probably one of the strongest, most exciting plays here this season. It was presented by Fhosa M'AUister's dramatic company, an able organization.

Every actor or actress performed his or her part acceptably. H. S. Duffield gave a noble and manly rendition of the poor and humble artist. He is a strong actor.

Miss M'AUister played for all she was worth as Kate Den by. She betrayed the varying emotions called forth by the play in a highly creditable manner, and pleased the audience great!
