Our Experience With Ladies Who Formerly t)id the Bulk of their Shipping in Philadelphia and New York. "Do you know this is the first bat I bought in Harrisburg, and have lived here twelve years. "Why, how is that "Well, I couldn't get suited in one place, and I disliked gaing in and out of different places without buying, so I concluded to give it np and make my millinery purchases in Philadelphia every season. I am really glad you have come here. This going out of town may suit some people, bnt it doesn't suit me, and when people can get what they want at home there is no excuse for their going away." "Bnt don't you think there are ladies here, who delight in telling their friends of the pretty things they have seen or purchased at so or bo for no apparent reason, and for the purpose only of having theui (their friends) know that they had been out of town.

Why, ladies come In here every day, look at articles that will bear comparison with any body's and tell me the same borrowed tnle of how much cheaper things are in New York and Philadelphia, and I often wondered whether itever occurred to them thut I knew something about New York and Philadelphia the impossibility of obtainiug goods cheaper and better there than here. "Oh! yes! I know of quite a number of that class, bnt there are a good many situated as I am, who by reason of their inability to purchase satisfactorily bere were forced to look elsewhere, but that necessity is done away with now. We have four Millinery and Fancy Goods Establishments exclusive, large Dry Goods Houses. Jewelry stores, Toy and Housefurnishing stores, that offer every inducement to home trade, and I believe when ladies see the advantages of encouraging home trade and the folly and shallowness of boasting off their out of town shopping tours Huriisburg will have more cause to be proud of its inhabitants. I am Mire of it." A little piece of home truth overheard at Astrich's PALACE OF FASHION, 34, 36 and 38 North Third IIAKKISBUitG, PEKN'A.
