Not when a person heard that but when he realized it. Our life was God's sword, that through which he could express him self to the world, and he wanted our life. All of its days to be consecrated to help ful, needful things.

It is often found that a book is selected for newspaper distribution since it happens to be cheap, because imperfect, or unsalable, or of doubtful literary quality. And the picture may be weak, dim in outline, or have a washed out appearance. owing to the fact that it is from a plate worn out ana unnt Tor use A damaged or badly printed book and an indifferent picture are worse than noth ing, since they are a constant eyesore and a permanent oiiense against good taste oucn possessions are not worth having even as a gut. It is a wise precaution, therefore, to carefully inspect these so called cheap offerings to ascertain if they are not too cheap to be worth shelf room. In contradistinction to such as these Thb Tblsgbaph points with pride to its distribution oi the unequalled series en titled "Sights and Scenes of the World," several numbers of which have already been seen.

These views are 320 in number and are issued in parts of sixteen each, one everv week. These photographs once in possession, it became necessary to prepare a graphic and miereuiiug uescnption 10 accompany eacn view. The series, therefore, becomes valuable. both in a pictorial and historical sense, and time devoted to its study could hardly be more profitable or pleasantly employed. iei i bi.bg aph therefore highly com mends "Sights and Scenes of the World" to all of its readers, for the series is equally adapted to old and young.

it also invites an inspection of the views at its distributing department. lhis invitation need not apply to old readers of the paper, since they well know that anything offered by Tns Telegraph is well worth the time, trouble and expense necessary to obtain it. this, there is hardly a Pennsyl vania home in which the views are not welcomed each week. But new readers who may want to see what they are going to get are asked to call and look over any one or all of the num bers already on view either one of which is worth much more than the cost of the entire series. Further particulars regarding this may be gleaned from the advertisement on another page of to day's paper.

jror any one of the numbers three cou pons are required, with 10 cents in stamps or coin.
