In speaking of a meeting which Miss Vandegrift recently attended in New York, the same paper has the following: "She dropped into a big debate the Republic club the other night. She was not on the program but when the discussion was open to the house she turned the tide of anti-suffragist audience into a wild, outburst of ap plause by the clear and concise manner in which she put the arguments of Miss Alice Hill Chittenden, prize debater of the antis to root. Judge Ben B. Lindsey of.

the Juvenile court of Denver has the following complimentary remarks to offer: "Miss Vandegrift is one of the best known of our progressive Denver women. She has held public positions of trust and responsibility and also worked on the leading Denver newspapers in the most important capacities. She one of the real, genuine women of Denver who have always stood for right and justice in our community struggles- of the type of women to whom we owe most in our work for the children, She is thorouhgly familiar with community struggles we have had in Denver, and- what has been done by the good women of our city and state for the progressive legislation of Colorado. She goes east to take part in the fight for woman suffrage and for justice. Her standing in Denver, her ability, character and integrity is of the very best.
