The excursion season is now at its zenith, and the boats are running con? tinuously day and night. The crowds donna, both white and colored people availing themselves of the facilities olfered for long or short rides on the river or hours of enjoyment at the various resorts. The steamer Jane Moat ley arrived here this morning from Washington loaded to her guards with colored excursionists.

Mr. Dove's head was painfully cut. He says the youth wantonly threw the rock at him. The Elks' Parade. Most of the members of Alexandria Lodge of Elks went to Haltimore today to participate in the parade in that city.
