Llamosa had been scheduled to travel with the Miami Fusion to play the MetroS-tars at Giants Stadium Wednesday, across the Hudson River from his former employer. FOOTBALL TABLE TENNIS By Tony Chamberlain GLOBE STAFF Warm weather has stalled the roundup season a bit as temperatures have remained in midsummer range not that anyone's complaining. The usual mix of species, with some heightened late-season feeding, has been seen in several places along the coast Sharks, especially makos, are being caught in decent numbers, one pushing the mark. Area In Maine, the cod and pollock have been terrific around Wells and York, with good-size cod on the ledges and much closer to shore. Some haddock have been taken off the Ogunquit coast Jeffries has had some large shark catches in the last two weeks.

Plum Island is fair on the oceanfront. Gloucester Harbor has some good stripers around withj a few keepers in the mix. Area Plenty of striper action around the Danvers River at the White Fuel Bridge and the environs, while bluensh aije good fare on the hills outside the harbor. Night fishing was strong last week off Salem with herring and mackerel chunks, also live eels. Boston Harbor has very decent bass and blue-fishing, with large bass coming up and bluefish scattered in feeding schools in no particular pattern.

Wednesday alonj; the Fore River mouth there was a big boil at dusk, with plenty of bass and bluensh along Wol-laston Beach. At least three large stripers were caught and reported in Hull Gut between last Sunday and yesterday morning. Area At Race Point, the fishing has been superb all month, and close to the South Shore the rocky stretch from North Cohasset to Minots Ledge and The Glades has been productive, as usual. The day we looked at North River earlier this week, big swells were making the mouth dangerous. South River and the water to Damon's Point was very decent bass fishing over the last week.

Bluefish were so thick at Cape beaches, from Race Point down, that bathers had to be warned. They have teeth, you know. Area Fishing slow in the Canal this week, though again late and early fishing is best. The hot weather actually has a doldrums kind of feel, said Bill Braiwaithe, of the Canal and the waters around Buttermilk Bay. Buzzards is fair, again in the early morning.

Terrific scup and seabass fishing from the rock ledge off Scraggy Neck to Clevelands, and from West Island to Nyes Ledge. Striped bass around Padanaram and Westport Nights on the back side of Cutty have been strong for striped bass. Area Vineyard Sound has been fair of late, though the south side of the Vineyard has been very decent, from Cape Poge to Wasque. Big bluefish and bass in the Tuckernuck Shoals, with only fair bluefLsh-ing around the usual haunts off Nantucket Great Point and down the south side. Think eels.
